Its not always easy when talking about dogs, but will try to keep a long story short: I found Super Snouts Join Powder while looking for a remedy to help my 15 year old Papillion, Louie. He was becoming increasingly lethargic, much of which I attributed to his age, but I also noticed his back legs faltering occasionally when he stood, and he had also stopped raising his leg to pee. Finally it became clear he was having joint pain. He was also beginning to manifest some cognitive issues. Besides having these typical canine ageing symptoms, I feel like he is a pretty healthy geriatric and rather than getting started on pharmaceuticals I was looking for something we could use long term with minimal side effects. I was actually looking for a suitable glucosamine product when I ran across the New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel story. I liked everything I read about the Super Snouts brand. The fact that it is a powder which can be added to food is a delivery system that works perfectly for us because is consistent, easy to do and easy to remember. I was very encouraged by all the seemingly miraculous reviews of dogs recovering from seriously debilitated conditions within weeks and sometimes days; I certainly wanted this type of miracle for my boy. One review that always stood out in my mind (and a big reason I am writing this review) is a lady who wrote that she was not seeing any improvement after many weeks of diligent use, and was almost ready to give up. Then finally after a few months she notice marked improvement, and so it was with Louie. It is also important to note that the Super Snout website states that it could take up to three months to notice improvement. For those of us who experience improvement in a more gradual long term evolution it may not seem to be as dramatic as for those who are lucky to get the quick fix. But when I compare my dogs condition in early June when we started Super Snout Joint Powder to his condition in the past month, it is very dramatic. He is definitely more comfortable, I cannot remember that last time I noticed him faltering, he even raises his leg again sometimes, his mobility in general is much improved. Additionally, it seems to have helped with his allergies as he sounds less congested. I don’t think I am imagining or embellishing in my mind when I say I believe his cognitive issues have also improved some. He seems much happier and brighter and even does an occasional puppyish romp. All in all, he is in much better shape than he was before taking Super Snout. Needless to say, I am thrilled with our outcome! It took us longer than some, but I feel like we got our miracle. I think this is a great product and certainly one worth trying. It does have the quintessential fish smell, but my dog LOVES it. And I am willing to deal with fish breath to have all the benefits it brings. So, for those of you who may be considering this product, or those waiting for your miracle, I encourage you to go for it and keep the faith. I am so thankful that I gave this stuff a chance for my 12 year old lab. I have been giving him Cosequin and fish oil for a few years now, per his vet’s recommendation but was still noticing a decline in his movements and playfulness. My son and his girlfriend moved in with us while looking for a house and their 2 year old golden doodle was just an annoyance to my dog. After just a few days on this supplement, we could all tell that my dog was feeling better and actually started playing with his toys and the other dog in the house. It’s been almost 2 weeks now and he is much more mobile and playful than before. I am forever thankful to the vet tech who mentioned this supplement that has helped many dogs that she has encountered. It does smell horrible, as many have said, but it doesn’t bother my dog and he eats his food as normal.

When my St. Bernard was a puppy, I kept being told by vets she was showing signs of hip displasia and I should probably look into doing something about it. I decided to wait until I was seeing outward signs which was around 8 or 9 years old. Someone had mentioned trying this supplement and after starting it I saw improvement almost immediately, within probably a week or two. The smell is awful but my dog absolutely loved it on her food. She was able to walk around without issue until the ripe old age of 12 1/2. It gave me so many more quality years with my beloved pup without any surgeries or medications. My 12 yo border collie and 8 yo shepherd love the taste and have been taking it for a year. I give it to them because of their age and not because they've shown issues with their joints, but the mussels are highly recommended for joint issues and are suggested by vets, so I'm hoping to stay ahead of any issues my girls may have!

Like many, I’ve read a lot of reviews and saw very similar stories where dogs were kind of slow and many lethargic much like mine who is a 12 1/2 year-old Lab-Chow mix. His brother passed away a year ago, but before he did amongst many things, he had really bad arthritis and struggled, moving around at all. While this dog is tougher, he too is slowing down and on days would have issues just hopping on the couch or moving around and very stiff on some days and not even eating his food because you can tell he was in some sort of pain and even on nice cool days, you would see the panting which is a clear indicator that they are feeling discomfort or pain. I have tried things like Antinol but that stuff is very expensive and I didn’t personally find it as effective, although it does work. I have come across this mixture, which is a very fine powder with a fishy smell. But after trying it, I can say it delivers on expectations. I will also extend on the reviews from others that you have to give this time to work. My dog is about 72 pounds and it took a good three months for it to really take effect. The manufacturer says this too. Many days I would have to give prescription Galliprant to aid in inflammation. As this stuff started to really kick in, I am giving less and less of his prescription anti-inflammatory medication. He moves around with a little bit of a trot in his step, he hopped up on the couch very easily, he is focused, and looks very comfortable overall. But let me say it one more time let this stuff work its magic in due time. You will get to the point where you will literally think nothing‘s happening and all of a sudden you’ll start to realize that your pet moves excessively well, but you just slowly got used to it and it may not seem like that. Excellent product and much cheaper than some of its competitors…

Helps my 13 year old German shepherd tremendously. Tried so many supplements, and this is the only powder she’ll eat mixed with her food. It’s a very fishy smell, but that shouldn’t matter if your doing the best for your dog.
