I do not know. I ask the seller or manufacturer. But I assume it has a warranty from the manufacturer as long as it is new.

Unsure as I believe scsi is dated technology now.

Does this 2.5 inch hdd use conventional magnetic recording (cmr) or shingled (smr)? anyone replaced it with a larger 1.5-2 tb replacement that's cmr?

This one should be CMR. This is important if the drive is supposed to be used as a storage for video surveillance. These workloads make SMR drives barf badly when the drive becomes full and new video files have to overwrite old ones. The same workloads kill SSDs awfully fast, because drive is always full and constantly overwrites existing blocks.
