Do these mugs get tea stained inside ?

I bought the black set with white inside and first cup of tea and the inside is badly stained and it will not move. I do not have a dishwasher so have to rely on good old fashioned washing up - and without bleach this stain will not come off unfortunately so have sent them back. Shame as the patterns are lovely.
