Very beautiful

I bought this for my daughter and she LOVES it! The doll had a little spot on her foot, but my daughter made sure to wipe her down. BTW, the shoes both had a tiny dent in it, which make me think it was intentional. The front hairs are tied together on the bottom of the hair. The hair is a little sticky, but all her barbies' hair is like that. She paid partial price and even though earrings aren't real tassle (she knew that) she went ahead and boutgh it. This is a glamorous, gorgeous, worth-twice-the-price doll. The bracelet comes off sometimes, but not fully. I highly recommend!

She is lovely and graced my book club's discussion of a book based on oriental women's roles. Barbie did a fantastic job of forming this lovely lady.

I bought one of these dolls for my niece and one of these dolls for an adult friend of mine who is Asian American who saw the doll that I bought for my Vietnamese niece and really fell in love with it. Told me how she never had an Asian doll growing up and I couldn't help but offer it to her. This makes a great gift for adults too! So I gave her the 1st one that I ordered and ordered my niece a second one for Christmas. Both came in perfect condition and the dolls were so beautifully crafted. I never got to touch the dolls but they both looked to be of the same high quality issue free dolls that Mattel is known for. The colors of both the doll and the clothing was rich in hue and doesn't look as if it will fade or scratch off any time soon.

The Lunar New Year doll is my first of the Barbie Signature series. For the price point, she could have been better, honestly. It begs a few questions, such as "why not use nicer quality materials for the doll?" She's nicer than a regular Fashionista which is a small fraction of the 50 dollars Barbie is selling these for. The body mold used is your typical recent Happy Holidays doll's. I only have the African American 2020 and, besides skin-tone, it's right down to the pose. One can argue that even classic Barbies are victim to this, but classic Barbies were much more lavish and had more heft to them. On to the positive. She's gorgeous, with a face featuring more definition than your regular Fashionista. The coloration is gorgeous, vivid blues and reds with a flower print that isn't simply stickers or poorly printed on. The cheongsam itself warrants a bit more of a price tag than usual, but is it real satin? Or is it a satin substitute that most Disney dolls use instead? Old wedding Barbies used actual satin. I figure you're mostly paying for the Signature brand itself. This IS a beautiful doll, and she's better than a Fashionista, like I've said. She's on par with a Happy Holidays Barbie but the 50 bucks makes you think the doll will be of a bit more sumptuous material to warrant what it costs. As it stands, I'd wait for a slight price drop. Unless the collectivity of this product shoots up.

It arrived early and looks as it should. Bought as a gift. Believe it will be a great surprise.

I purchased this doll in used condition from Amazon for about $36. I’m happy with her for the price I paid and I unboxed her immediately. The box was in pretty bad condition but this review is for the doll and she is beautiful! Honestly, I was on the fence about getting her because of some of the negative feedback on YouTube and the doll collecting community. But I’m glad I have her! She’s much prettier in person. The dress is some type of satiny material and has the flower print only on the front. I do wish the tassels on her earrings were real. Her hair is soft but nothing special. I love her whole color scheme, she looks so elegant and luxurious. I bought her mainly for her face sculpt, it’s rare to see such a pretty Asian doll from Mattel. Being Asian myself, I am super happy to see the representation! I will probably buy one more in new condition, if the price goes down, to keep in the box because the box itself is beautiful too. Edit: i love her so much that I ended up buying another one when she was on sale for prime day for about $24!

In my second childhood I really wanted a Barbie, but couldn't find one that "resonated" until I saw this one. Stunning gown; Lunar New Year's a big deal around here so I got this one. The price was fair. I was disappointed that the joints aren't articulated but that's okay. It would make easier to put clothing on and off though. I've bought inexpensive outfits from Amazon to change according to the season or on the whim. Hers? Mine? LOL I dunno , but it's fun. She has a place of honor in the living room and always gets remarks by visitors :)

I would have thought over buying her for much longer at £60 but I would have definitely got her one day. I was lucky enough to grab the "used-like new" doll. Her box had a tear on it so I saved about 40% thanks Amazon! If you love the Barbie Mari face sculpt, higher quality model muse style dolls, seasonal collectable dolls, I would get this doll. I love the Mari sculpt, Goddess sculpt and Karl Largerfeld sculpt the most. I always wanted the Barbie Chiffon Ball Gown Doll and Chriselle Lim Barbie which cost more and also have the most beautiful Mari faces and this dolls face is up there with those beauties. I don't entirely get the negative feedback for this doll. She isn't super cheap but she is clearly better quality than any fashionista/lower quality Barbie doll and I prefer quality over quantity. It's always a possibility that later on when she's unavailable, people will be selling her for much more elsewhere. Pros: beautiful face, long thick hair with middle part, model muse body with manicure, pretty cheongsam, love her pointed d'orsay court heels and her bangle is a gold metal finish not gold plastic. She redresses really well too with red, black, gold etc. Cons: No pedicure, if you prefer articulation (my dolls are display only- don't need a mtm body for that)
