SHEA MOISTURE Jamaican Black Castor Oil Loc & Braid Butter, 6 Oz

I recently discovered this product and it completely revolutionized my twist outs. This product works best on dry hair. Apply. Twist. Go to sleep. Wake up and be happy about a moistured, well-defined twist out. Looks nice in the twist stage too. I also use this product to revive an old or frizzy twist out overnight. Twist, sleep and it looks fresh and moisturized in the morning.I have not had a positive experience when using this product on wet hair.Only major con: the size of the container is too small... but a little bit goes along away.Other bad news - I’m concerned that Shea Moosture may discontinue this product as it has been hard to find.

I have C4 hair but I really think its like C40000, but this product so far is a good retouch for moisture for my hair. My hair soaks up moisture like water. I have to moisturize my hair at least twice a week. This product is a good filler for that until I need to wash it again. But everyone has to know what works and what doesn't. My mom is a beautician and she will tell you that one product may work well for one type of hair but not for another, so for those who don't like the product be mindful that I may not work for their hair.

Smells great. Moisturizing to hair, but did not do what I thought it was supposed to do, which was to help with the longevity of the braids. It just felt like a cream moisturizer that smelled really good.

The container is quite small, but a little goes a long way. I've consistently used this product on my twist outs for the last 6 months and have only used half of the container (I have bsl natural hair). This locks in moisture. Very thick and creamy. Does not leave the hair feeling greasy or weighed down. Smells like everything else in this line.

I LOVE this product because I have high porosity 4b hair and I have bad shrinkage so it’s painful to style my hair sometimes but with this product my hair doesn’t shrink as much and leaves my hair moisturized for days. I don’t think this should really be used for locs because it may cause build up for some but it’s amazing for twist outs, braid outs, Bantu knots, and etc

Held my twists for a over a week. No flaking or dryness like with other products. And it smells great.

I like the product enough to keep using it, but I wish it added a little more shine. It's not at all a waxy like some braid/loc products, which we like. And the smell is pleasant. I just wish it offered a bit of hold and more shine.

This product is definitely very moisturizing! I've used it for about a year now and It's working for my wife and I. It doesn't flake up after a fees days compared to other products. I think it depends on the person's hair but I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something different.

mes cheveux adore.type 4A/4b, j'utilisais le smoothie. Bien qu'il faisait sont job, sa consistance assez liquide rendait son application pénible et surtout ça humidifiait mais cheveux et donc rendait le processus de séchage plus long.Avec ce beurre, je n'ai absolument pas de souci. La consistence est parfaite, il fait son job et tient longtemps.Je l'applique quasiment tous les soirs maintenant sur mes cheveux stresser sans crainte qu'ils ne bouclent à nouveau :)
