Derringer Live / Live in Cleveland

I've seen him on that tour, opening for Aerosmith at Madison Square Garden in '77 (he blew them away).Yes, the cd's are mislabled, but sound quality on Derringer Live is ssoooo much better here than when it was first released on cd. Don't worry about the mislabeling, just sit back and enjoy.

The albums are fine except on mine the CD that is marked Live in Cleveland is actually Derringer Live, and vice versa.

Did I want these releases on CD? Yes. Did I want good 'live' recordings? Yes. Did I get quality recordings with these two albums? No....but I did need these both for my Rick Derringer collection since I'm a big fan. So the audio's not that great...eh, I'll still listen to them both since he always puts on a great show. I'm just glad to have'em on CD finally.

Cds were satisfying but wrongly labelled,the songs in cd1 were in the second one and vice Verda!

I've owned this album since it came out in the 70's, it is still in my top ten. The music on this double cd release is fine. The original Derringer Live rocks as always and the Live in Cleveland broadcast recording is good too. I gave this 3 stars because the discs are label incorrectly. Disc 2 is labeled Live in Cleveland but is the original Derringer Live album and vice versa.

Ho comprato questo doppio cd di Derringer,pur avendo già in catalogo da tempo,Derringer -Live,per avere anche Derringer-Live In Cleveland,a parte per ascoltare un altro cd live del Grande Rick Derringer,chitarrista misconosciuto in Italia,se non agli adepti del rock-blues di settantiana memoria!Oltre alle sue canzoni,la gemma che splende di più è la sua cover di "Rebel Rebel" DEL GRANDE E INDIMENTICABILE DAVID BOWIE!!!Registrato dal vivo l'11/10/1976 a Cleveland,questo doppio cd dal vivo di Derringer,mostra la sua abilità come chitarrista e come arrangiatore,visto anche il prezzo modesto,consiglio l'acquisto a tutti gli appassionati di Rock-Blues bello tirato!

Derringer was a great rock band featuring Rick Derringer and co-axeman Danny Johnson.Together they released two studio albums plus "Live"."Cleveland" was a promo live release and has on it many of the tracks found on "Live".however the versions are even better and it also includes a Blistering "Rebel Rebel" by Bowie.Both albums feature extended versions of their studio counterparts and the duelling between the two pickers is very fine.

Wounded Birdから出ていたデリンジャー・ライブが入手困難になってきたので、うれしい発売でした。おまけにクリーヴランドのライブもついている2枚組です。念のために書いておくと、デリンジャーはソロの意味でなく、76年にリック・デリンジャーがリーダーとなり結成したグループです。エドガー・ウインター・グループで大きな成功を収めたデリンジャーがソロ・キャリアの次に挑んだプロジェクトで、ヴィニー・アピス(ds)、ケニー・アアロンソン(b)、ダニー・ジョンソン(g)がメンバーでした。デリンジャーは本当にギター掛け合いが好き。と言いますか、バンドにギタリストは二人必要と考えていたんでしょうね。正直申し上げてデリンジャーのスタジオ盤ファーストは食い足りないものを感じていました。このライブではその食い足りなさが払拭されて元気のいいロックンロール、それもギターを十分に堪能できる音になっています。1.Let Me In や3.
