Q: I'm making tutu's and was wondering will this product wash out in the washer?

I am not sure. I used this product to stiffen crocheted holiday pins. It does state on back of bottle that you can wash & reshape the item sprayed .

Q: In light of the reviews I hate to ask but can anyone tell me, (besides the $$$), what's the difference between this & a plain old can of Spray Starch?

I experimented with both. I could only find regular spray starch. The item I used Stiffen Quick on was MUCH stiffer, even trying several coats of starch.It also held its shape better, whereas the starched item stretched out of shape.

Q: Is this safe to use around cats/dogs for like crochet bow-ties to wear on their collars?
