I did a lot of reading about DMSO from Dr Mercola about this product BEFORE I bought it and before I took it orally. This product has several uses and it will not harm surrounding tissues. I didn’t some research and took notes from a review here. When I slammed my thumb in the car door I was a couple miles from home so it wasn’t applied for a bit. It did stop the pain immediately, but there was bruising which may have lessened if I reapplied. Yesterday I tripped over my dog & spilled boiling water the entire length of the inside of my forearm. I keep some DMSO in a miron glass w/ a dropper in my spice rack &I take it internal as well). I put a generous amount on my arm & spread it with my fingers. It burned a bit (an interesting sensation, not a fire burn) which subsided & the pain & redness disappeared, except for spots I missed. Appears to be quality product. Was well packaged and arrived in tact. Still experimenting with it for low back pain. Seems to help me sleep better. I haven't noticed any side effects other than a mild itching sensation for a few minutes. I diluted mine with 30% distilled water. Do your own research before use.
