“Develops Black Stains in One Day – Unsafe for Drinking Water”
expecting a good-quality, food-grade product for storing drinking water. Within just one day of use, I noticed dark streaks and patchy discoloration forming inside the vessel. These marks weren’t simple water stains — they were clear signs of uneven oxidation and poor finishing. Even after cleaning it properly with lemon and salt, the stains kept reappearing, and the inside surface started showing dull grey patches instead of maintaining its copper shine. This kind of reaction after just a single day of water storage clearly shows the vessel isn’t made from high-purity copper. It’s either mixed with cheaper metals or poorly processed, making it unsafe for storing drinking water long term. Water stored in it develops a metallic taste, and the internal corrosion can lead to copper leaching into the water — definitely not something you want to drink daily. Overall, I strongly suggest not buying this vessel if you plan to use it for drinking water. It might look traditional and authentic from the outside, but the inside quality and finishing are nowhere close to food-grade copper standards. Spend a bit more and get a certified, high-quality copper vessel instead — this one is not worth the risk.
