The short term review of this seems to be that it is a decent hat. The snaps on the side are plastic and if you use them to fold up the sides, the hat folds into an odd shape. I think the snaps should have been just a little higher. The only other complaint is about the way it came packaged. It was folded into quarters (wedge shape) so the brim 4 creases in it. They have mostly flattened out but not completely.

This is a great sun hat! Perfect for floating on the river for hours and not walking away crispy (with sunscreen application and reapplication, of course). My friend said I looked like "a cool baby," so keep that in mind when picking out your outfit. 😂

I have taken up hiking and this Boonie hat with it’s fun color is great. It’s lightweight and not too tight on my head like some. It is adjustable so you can make it fit more tightly if needed. I don’t know how water resistant it is, but for sunny days at least, it’s great. Mostly the colors are great because you have so many choices.

I love this hat! The brim is wide enough to provide protection until the sun is very low in the sky, the venting works well (in some hats I overheat quickly) and the strap clasp adjusts easily yet stays in place. I have only had this hat but am confident it will be durable. I bought another one from the same firm five years ago and and have worn it on hundreds of excursions. While the older hat is now grubby nothing has broken - not even frayed fabric. My partner and daughter's hat have held up equally well.

Makes a big difference doing yard work in the Florida sun. The pink one was for my wife; I got a grey one for myself.

I bought this for the lake and like it to keep the sun off while being able to get it wet. The rim keeps its shape well - not floppy.

The man was very pleased with this, and hopefully the site of the skin peeling off his nose each year will be a thing of the past!!!
