My bottle didn’t come with a spray cap. Is that normal? The advertisement pictures indicate it is a spray.

I order two bottles and BOTH had spray caps. Contact Amazon and see how to return it as you are correct; it should have a spray cap.

Would this be good for lower back pain?

Depending on what is causing it- YES! It's better than an Epson Salt soak! I get severe muscle pain from nerve damage to my back and legs- an this helps! Works best if you rub it in once you spray it on...NOT oily! Make sure you do a test spot 1st. My daughter was sensitive to it, so hers we diluted with a bit of distilled water, and it works for her too!

Can Magnesium oil help to alleviate numbness in the toe(s)?

I don't think it helps numbness - it didn't for me. It helps burning pain immensely.
