It worked!A year ago my home suffered a surge that did nearly $1500 in damage to my fridge and freezer. Put one of these in the wall before I rolled the new fridge in place and I'm glad I did!Wednesday, we got a 165VAC surge due to a tree root growing through the wire to the house (underground) and this suppressor got fried but my fridge didn't! I ordered a replacement, definitely worth it on high end fridges with all the gadgetry! Knocked one star off because it is a bit cumbersome to cram into a standard depth single gang box with 12ga. wire.

I have a few of these to protect wallmount TVs. Quality on the backside is a bit lacking and bulky and the item could use a revision especially at this price point. I would like to see it more in line with quality and form factor of a slim type gfci outlet. With that said, with the bulky back and the wire nuts needed it was extremely difficult to get this to fit in my electrical box. You'll need a more internally squared-off type box or a deeper than standard box for it to fit nicely.

Great product. Note that I ordered one of these and it never showed. Finally, after waiting over a month, I canceled the order and placed a new order. It showed up in a reasonable amount of time. I was also worried that this may not fit in a single box, but was happy that it did. It is a tight fit, but not unreasonable. I am using this for a movie projector mounted on the ceiling and did not want a big surge box hanging down from the ceiling and having to worry about how to secure it. This solved that problem and looks great.

NO BULKY power strip or device to plug in. One great little product, just make sure you have a deep junction or wall box to hold this device (The unit is deeper than a normal duplex receptacle). This compact Surge Control will protect your high cost 55', 60" or larger 1080/4K TV's.With all the lightning strikes, power surges, etc. this unit is extremely easy to install and an efficient way to protect your investments Great idea and product from Panamax. I was unaware they were available in this small / compact size. Just remember, once they blow / protect your equipment from damage don't forget to replace them, they only work once!
