Fair price and good quality.
Great for my laptop, smaller size is more portable and I like the scroll wheel, it's nice and quick.

Great ergonomics.
I purchased this mouse from Amazon Warehouse Deals for £17. One reason I purchased it was the inclusion of the new pico Unifiying receiver which is about half the depth of the previous nano Unifying receiver which makes it far less likely to get snagged when pushing my laptop into its snug fitting bag - previously I had to remove the nano receiver for fear of breaking it. I was very pleased that the pico receiver recognised my old Logitech MX Anywhere mouse - now I can leave one mouse in the office and the other at home so have less to carry around. The M545 mouse works very well, I'd say that it's sensor is slightly more responsive than the one on the MX Anywhere and have not found a surface it wont work on. The ergonomics are good and for a smallish mouse it fits my largish hands very well, with the 'hump' snuggling up into the palm of my hand my index and middle fingers fall effortlessly on the left and right buttons with out any need to stretch or cramp up. The forward and back buttons on the side are also well placed for my thumb. With the MX Anywhere mouse the scroll wheel has two actions - one where there is are distinct clicks as you turn the wheel (the numbr of lines scrolled per click can be configured in SetPoint), the other is free spinning which allows you to spin the wheel to quickly scroll to the top or bottom of the page. The M545's scroll wheel does not have distinct clicks but feels and sounds a bit scratchy like a zip. I'm not sure if the number of lines scrolled can be configured as I haven't installed Logitech's Options software - I have no need for it as the default button layout is as I want it. To replace the free spinning option you click down on the wheel to toggle scroll by movement - move the mouse forward to scroll up and backwards to scroll down - it works well but is not as tactilley satisfying as the MX Anywhere's free spinning wheel. The build quality of the M545 is not on par with the MX Anywhere's which sets a very high standard that sadly Logitech no longer attempt to reach. In use (with batteries) the M545 weighs 94.1 grams compared to the MX's 133.4 grams - some users may prefer this especially gamers but I don't, I prefer the more substantial feel of the MX. The plastics feel cheaper, the side buttons rattle, mouse clicks are a little louder and the scroll wheel is nowhere near as nice to use as the MX's. However dont let this put you off - this is in comparrison to one of Logitech's best - in comparison to most of todays mouses it fairs very well. Please note, the comparison above is with the original MX Anywhere not the MX Anywhere2 or 2S.
