My favorite book as a child
I bought this book because it was my favorite book as a child. And I have to say, after rereading it, it is still one of my favorites. This book is especially good for kids that aren't that into reading in the first place because the story is told untraditionally - through notes, letters, recipes, camp schedules, etc and include some images like a map of the camp and pictures of the kids there.Overall, I love this book and I didn't have any issues with the quality of the printed copy.

Letters from Camp - Fun book!
I read the regarding series and really loved they way books were written and the style of telling a story through correspondence letters and new clippings. So I thought I would try other books that these sisters have done together. They didn't disappoint! This book is fun and quirky just like the regarding series. It's about a camp that's run by an old children's singing group (think Jackson 5 crossed with the mouseketeers), they are all Harmony family siblings (3 brothers, and 3 sisters). They are very old school and have wholesome songs about siblings that shouldn't be fighting. The camp they created has the goal of mending the ties between siblings that don't get along before it's too late for an everlasting bond between them. So at the beginning of the book you read letters from parents of 3 sets of brother and sister that aren't getting along. The parents mean well they want their kids to be friends and so they decide to send their children to this camp. Little do they know that the camp isn't all it's cracked up to be.Well when they get to camp you will see that the Harmony family brothers and sisters don't exactly get along like how they portray themselves in their songs from 25 years ago. There is also a twist to the camp; you will have to read to find that out.Even though I'm giving this book 5 stars, I don't think it's as good as the regarding series but they wrote this before the regarding series so I won't hold that against them.Very fun and enjoyable book, it took me about 1.5-2 hours to read it through. I'm far older than the recommend age group but I feel it's very suitable for the recommend age group and older.

AVIB (a very important book)
I'm 16 (currently on my mum's amazon account) and I just wanted to sing the praises of Kate Kilse's wonderful books. I grew up on these books and I honestly believed they had a good size role in the development of my creativity and life-long love of reading. This book and others by Klise are an good stepping stone into novels, because while they have many illustrations and fun format, with the clever story lines they require the same amount of attention and thought that any junior novel would require. I firmly believe if exposed to good books early, a kid will keep picking up good books as a teenager and then an adult. Set them in the right direction! These books are filled with fun details, kooky illustrations, and exciting stories, and are honestly still fun to read as a 16 year old. They will immerse your child in colorful worlds full of gregarious characters, and give them lots to looks at and think about. Plus, after reading one of these books, anyone would want to keep going and read all of her awesome books, so it encourages future reading.

" as it sure wasn't written like a regular book
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter who LOVES to read. When she opened it up, she said "okaaaay,,," as it sure wasn't written like a regular book. I bought it because of the great reviews and I'm glad I did. She has read it at LEAST 10 times. She loves it.

The best series and always good for a laugh. Def can be read over and over again. We all enjoy them from 9-adult ages. Love the play on words and kids get the biggest kick out of them.

Letters from Camp - Kate Klise
My daughter had to write a book report and summary on this book, so I had to read it too in order to help her with her project. I loved this book, and I am 49 years old! It is incredible how Kate Klise uses only letters to write a complete book! It inspired me to write letters to my friends and family! Something I have not done in years!

Excellent book for young readers
My daughter has read this book over and over. She first read it at age 8 and still says it's her favorite book years later. It's camp letter format encourages hesitant readers to keep reading and invites you into the crazy word of summer camp. I have bought this book for all my nieces and nephews and they all love it.
