These coolers work!
I added a power amp to my system and wanted to be certain that temperatures inside my cabinet would not be too high. After researching coolers for A/V equipment, I found these on Amazon. Normally, installing these would be very easy, but in my case I had to modify my cabinet for a nice clean installation. [ See photos.]These are rear exhaust models, and there is one over my receiver and one on the amp. The receiver gets quite hot, the amp, not so much. Both now run at the temperatures set by the coolers. The receiver needs the fans set on 2 @ 90F. The amp stays cool @ 1 [ The lowest speed.]Mounting the sensors was a bit tricky as I could not mount the receiver sensor without removing the cover, then mounting the sensor inside, close to a large heatsink, then running the wire out the back of the unit. On the amp, the vents run all the way back, so mounting the sensor was easy.My only minor complaints would be that there is some noise, though only barely noticeable. And, some felt or rubber feet to set the cooler on top of the component included might be nice. Also, of some minor importance. The sensors read about 2F different from each other when both should read the same.

Very Sturdy More Effective version of Aircom Series
This product looks much more professional as a quality piece of stereo gear that you can add to your components. It has better CFM without the noise (I simply added acoustic foam in the front end by taking off the top when drilling holes for the heavy duty rubber feet I installed. All this no doubt voids the warranty but the thing is dead simple inside and easy to work with.It is made of a sturdier metal, heavier gauge than the Aircom series and the programming screen is even easier to use.For this who don't know - you can set your maximum fan speed lower than 6 ( I use 3 but it rarely comes in to play) and it is just as effective. The unit I bought is rear exhaust - for obvious reasons - if you look at the picture. Just having it placed where it is - since hot air rises - hot air will enter the 3 Fan holes (there are 3 fans - NOT 6 as indicated in their online material) and out the rear and there is 8" clearance at the back of the open cabinet so almost all warm air is exhausted that way and the fan rarely comes on. When the fan does come on it is only to the first speed - the lowest and that does the trick. This power amp - bottom unit- loves to run around 90 degrees F and pretty well stays there without the units above getting warmer than intended or the fan even coming on.Yes it is more more money - but you get what you are paying for. This is almost a first class product. The gauge of the metal could go up one grade and the faceplate could be thicker like the other products in this case - although they have done a nice job on the finish of the front and it matches the very expensive components in this stand.I recommend this product without reservations and would like to see improvement in the quality of the case metal, and its finish, a thicker faceplate and would gladly pay for that.Nice job and great price.

Very quiet and effective
Very quiet and definitely cools the system down. I use it for one of my higher end home theatre systems in a rack mount cabinet and it works flawlessly with extremely low noise. I'll be buying more for my high end system as well.

Easy to install
This was an easy to use and easy to install product. The fan fit perfectly with my 1U rack space and the fan works really well. It's a little loud if you turn it up to max speed but other than that, it's a worth while investment to protect the rest of your equipment from overheating. Keeping them at idle temperatures will ensure they last longer. The temperature control on these are fairly accurate and I do use them to automate my setup. It's a good product overall and I would recommend to install if you can spare a few bucks.

Clean looking, high quality, and effective
So far, the AC Infinity products I purchased have all been high quality. I previously bought a T10 fan, then decided to get this T5 rack mount fan instead (mainly for appearance) and have two AC Infinity drawers. The fan is very easy to set up, runs quiet and smoothly, and has a nice brushed finish. The finish matches my Marantz receiver well.Highly recommended to keep your electronics cool.
