Simple Houseware Industrial Grade Z-Base Garment Rack, 400lb Load with 62in extra long bar

I bought one of these racks and it was great! Then I ordered a pack of 2 racks. They were awful 😖 . I reordered another one of these racks. It came in 2 days, much more stable and easy to tear down.Jimalee

I purchased eight of these based on the positive reviews, and overall they are awesome with one exception… If you try to lift them by the pole to clear an extension cord, an entryway stair or whatever, the pole lifts right out of the base. And a couple of my employees tried rolling a rack of clothing to a customers, car, and the second they got out of our studios front door and tried to lift it down the two small steps, the base fell off and all the clothes spilled all over the sidewalk.The good news is that there is a very simple fix. So simple, in fact, that the manufacturer should have just included it. It involves buying the following pins:4 Pack Quick Release Pin, Diameter 3/16"(4.8mm), Overall Length 2"(51mm), Usable Length 1-1/2"(38mm), Full 316 Stainless Steel, Bimini Top Pin, Marine HardwareYou’ll want to use a titanium nitride coated 3/16” drill bit to drill a hole clear through the base and the pole. Soooo simple! To pull out the poles, just pop out the pins. Like I said… these really should have come this way. Great stands nonetheless.

Took about 5 min to assemble between starting my coffee brewing and starting to drink my coffee. The base legs are two pieces each end which is probably fine for home use but in the industrial version they are one solid Z. Casters on this are smaller but I'm putting it in a laundry room and will probably only move it to seep and mop under. It's not as big and solid as the ones portrayed in the garment district of NY in movies and TV but it should do fine if you're not trying to drag it around in the street.

I bought this garment to replace a cheaper one I bought that fell apart. This one won't. It's a little wider than I wanted, but it's so sturdy, it should last for years without any problems. It's worth the price.
