Know your weights and prices.
This was $1.95 an ounce (dry) called "classic", what MH has done is decrease the amount of product in a can and increased the price. This new can will cost you $4.13 per ounce (correct me if I am wrong). looks like Corporate greed has set in. Do you think they are using better ingredients or maybe cheaper ingredients? I know the cost of things go up...but to double in less than a year seems like greed.

Size Matters
It should be noted the can is 7 inches by 6 inches in size and contains about 14.8 ounces of freeze dried product that doesn't fill to the top. The size is particularly small compared the larger price.

Wow, just wow!
Wow! Just wow! I was skeptical that it would be just a other reheat-able spaghetti. I was so wrong! The flavor, acidity and spiciness of the sauce was spot on. The noodles reconstituted perfectly and the meat had a fresh Italian sausage or spice ground beef flavor. I wish I had more of these to try. I’m sure the rest of their menus are just as good. Then there is the 30 year shelf life, I’m about to be hooked!

A Must For Every Excursion!!!
Very easy to use... Taste like spaghetti that will keep you warm and full. I will definitely add this product to my food storage... cans food is great but very heavy and about 1/8 of the shelf life. This is perfect for emergency, long excursions and back up food supplies. No complaints at all... Very Good Product👍

Came with a hole chewed in bottom of pouch
As if mice got to it. The person packing it should have seen it - pasta was spilling out. This is my third try on this meal. The first time I bought it, I thought I would not order it again because the beef was tough and tasteless. But a few months later I hadn’t found many options for my craving Italian food lol so I tried it again. It went from a C - to a C + I guess for me. I am doing more camping meals now. So since the price is okay on this, a few months later I thought hmmm...maybe I will give it a third try. See if my taste buds are even more forgiving (again lol). I doubt it would ever get better than a B - from me. Given there is so little flavor, but the texture and tomato presence are okay. Well, this is the third try. Damaged. Inedible. Waste of good $. Kind of disgusting since mice are cute critters but the cause or carry hantavirus.

projectile Diarrhea
I'm very healthy and I go camping a lot. Recently, I purchased about $450.00 of Mountain House foods. I am a repeat customer, although the last time i bought it was about 4 years ago. I decided to try some before I went camping. I tried the Beef Stew and about 4 hours later, I had to run to the restroom. It was miserable. For the next 8 hours, about every 35 to 45 minutes, it was horrible. About 4 hours into this bowel cleansing, I became dehydrated and had to drink some water. Almost instantly, I began to have gut wrenching cramps. This went on for about another 4 hours. There is no way in heck I would recommend this trash!

Partially filled order
Did not like that my order arrived in multiple packages and in the end I only received 9 of 10 items. Have written manufacturer and they didn’t respond.

Best dinner from Mountain House
I think that the best dinners from mountain house are the Spaghetti and Lasagna dinners. They are really tasty and the directions are acurate. Follow the directions and the resulting dish is perfectly cooked through and through. There are no bits of cardboard like dried food. The dish is smooth as if you'd made it from scratch. Also, the mountain house packets of food resist going bad. I once had 4 mountain house spaghetti packets that I cached for a backpacking trip along my route. They were exposed to extremes of weather and lots of rain. I didn't get back to the cache for three years. The mountain house spaghetti packets were in perfect condition after all that time in the outdoors and they were every bit as tasty as if I had just bought them the day before I opened them up and cooked them. You can't go wrong with moutain House spaghetti or Lasagna.
