This item IS AMERIÇAN SPEC 120 VOLTS fitted with 2pin AMERICAN Dealer hides this infoany attempt to plug it in with an adapter plug would lead to burning g the unit out the dealer hides this information in the small print.One has to search very carefully to find it. I am surprised at Amazon not making this clear⁹after purchasing a step Down transformer 240 to 120vole the unit was delivers late. After all this. it will NOT SWITCH On I can only describe as useless piece of metal this unit ⁹has NOT been connected to 240volt
