How do you clean the material?

You can spot wash the surface with the soapy water; hang it outside to dry. no washing machine!!! and no dryer!

Does it stand up on it's own when you're not using it as a puppet?

That I'm not sure of. I've already wrapped it as a Christmas gift. My inexpensive solution would be just use a 16 oz. bottle, fill it with sand to stabilize it, then slide your owl over the bottle. Of course you can take it a step further and decorate the owl stand, akna owl bottle as part of your gift too. Hope this helps.

Is this owl cuddly? My daughter would likely want to keep it in her bed at night, so I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

The puppet is soft, but very sturdy/rigid at the head and neck. The ability to turn its head 360 degrees is created by a large plastic dowel inside as well.

How large is the owl?

10 in talk by 22 in from wing tip to wing tip (open). The head turns too. It's a beautiful puppet. Our 11 yr old loves it. You can't go wrong with Folkmanis. We have several puppets by this company.
