New reed plates mean a new harmonica, for $20 less.
No matter how good a harmonica is, the reeds will eventually flat out. Unless you've got a magic touch with a quality file, and a great ear, which would allow you to retune the reeds yourself, then you've got 2 options. Either1. replace the entire harmonica, or2. replace only the reed plates, saving about $20These replacement reeds effectively made my Suzuki Promaster sound like a brand new harp. They come with a set of replacement screws, which is important because it is very easy to strip the tiny screws removing the old reed plates. The process takes a little care but is not difficult - it's worth looking at a YouTube video of the job first to orient yourself. Getting the reed plate right side up and on the correct side of the harp can be a little confusing the first time, so look carefully at how the harp is set up as you remove the old ones, and be sure to put the new ones in the same way.Take the opportunity to clean the harp well, and test it a little before tightening the cover screws down, just to make sure you've got it right. Removing the screw to flip the reed plates just gives you another opportunity to strip them. When you've done this a time or two, it's as easy as changing strings.

Japanese or not?
This reed plate fit my harmonica perfectly and it plays and sounds very nice. Only issue is while shopping I saw many warnings not to buy reeds if they were shipped from Japan, but the packaging, wrappings and instructions were all Japanese and the reed plate did not have my model number on it like my last reed plate did. I'm not sure if these are good plates or not, only time will tell, as I said, they play well and sound good.

Suzuki quality astounds me again!
Bought both Bb Reed plates for my promaster for $20.00 and change. They arrived quickly and we're hermetically sealed and nicely packaged. They even included replacement plate screws. Couldn't love Suzuki more! Will definitely buy again.
