Is this dishwasher safe? I am reading mixed answers!

Some information about our Eco products: Eco products are made from a plastic resin called bio-composite, which consist entirely of plant material. 92%-95% is made of plant fibers from bamboo grass and rice husks. 5%-8% is made of an organic binding agent (glucose/amino acids). As with any plastic, only 10-15 seconds in a microwave. Van Ness recommends hand washing and drying the Eco products. The bio composite that Eco bowls are made out of is a structurally sound material that will hold up in a dishwasher; however, Eco bowls are colored with organic pigments that may fade when introduced to the harsh environment of a dishwasher. The decal is soy based and heated on – food safe. Not saying to chow down and eat it, but it is not harmful. Eco products are manufactured in China. We have used the same company for 15+ years.

Are they microwave safe? Sometimes heat the refrigerated cat food up a few seconds

Good Q & A's I want to get a few & did not think of that. I may continue to Heat on low power for 10 sec. on the plastic lid cover to make room temp. We do auto dry 3x & wet (1/8 C) 2x daily (due to yak issue)

what is the bowl made of

They are made from hard plant material, according to the manufacturer. We have several of them. Easy to clean and the cats like the shape and the slight depth of the bowl- doesn't interfere with their whiskers. They are dishwasher safe or easy to clean by hand. Our cats love them.
