So nice
Cut well Iโm 6 ft 3 with long arms and 210lbs. just fit in the body but would have been too tight if weโre any bigger. Arms barely long enough. Cut really well and doesnโt look like a stiff winter jacket. Crazy warm!!

Worth the price
Warm coat,I love the two tone color and the Material feels good.has a detachable hood which is good on days where you donโt need it.fit is excellent and true to size but I would suggest sizing up if you wear multiple layers or packing some extra pounds

Great Jacket, Almost 5-stars
Me: 5' 8", 155 lbs, 32" waist, 38" chest. My first foray into Rab jackets. FWIW I've been a Patagonia and Helly Hansen fan for years. I really like HH, but have gotten turned off w/ their obnoxious branding that's way too visible. I started w/ the Positron Pro and based on their size chart, went medium. Roomy, but the arms were too long, I looked like the Michelin Man w/ an extra 30 lbs in the arms. Returned it and decided to try this jacket; its big appeal was the removable hood. Based on my Positron Pro experience, I decided to order a S in this jacket. Arm length was perfect, but because I'm 1" over their chest size chart, it was 'snug'. Doable, but definitely a little snug for driving, layering, etc. So I swapped it for a M. I was pleased that the arms were not too long; with the velcro fastener they stay snug enough to avoid coming down over my hand, but also loose enough to put on/off without having to loosen the cuffs. And it does give me the room for layering a sweater vest or 1/4 zip polar fleece, even a heavy Nike sweatshirt. I decided to chance the 700-fill vs. the 800-fill of the PP. Let's be honest, I'm probably the majority of their buyers, this is an urban winter jacket that will never see a mountain face. The other night I walked from Government Center in Boston to Kendall Sq. Over the 'salt-and-pepper' bridge on a 20ยบ F night, w/ a 20+ mph window so the 'real feel' temp was ~8ยบ. This jacket was great, with no layer and my long-sleeve shirtsleeves rolled out. Cold did not penetrate and I can see using this for winter events, casual walks, etc. I really appreciated the hood when I was out in the open on the bridge to block the wind, too. Why not 5-stars? Well, as mentioned above I'm an urban user. I understand the real pros want as light a jacket as possible, but for me, I think the omission of an inside drop pocket is terrible. My Patagonia Fitrzoy jacket has one, and it's great for a) storage for the removable hood so you're never without, b) a heavier hat, c) a Kindle, or d) anything else. I also get annoyed when designers don't add a second chest pocket, inside our outside. I carry an iPhone Pro Max phone, and also sunglasses or reading glasses, and IEM buds. I would like some additional storage, please. Is it weight? Cost? Fear of the wearer looking too bulky? All of the above? This would be a perfect jacket for me if it had additional storage, but again, if Rab only wants to sell to the pros/weekend warriors that will use this belaying, then OK. Bottom line, great jacket, but if you need more storage look elsewhere.

Great fit. Very versatile. Bought for my husband. He loves it. Says itโs very warm. He likes that the hood detaches. Great arm length on this too, as often coats fall short on the arm length for him. Using it as his go to, daily coat.

Nice jacket altho does seem to shed a few feathers after a while...also the Rab logo seems to be a bit wonky (slanted) but apparently that's the norm with these axion jackets but it does niggle me a bit!
