Square Enix KINGDOM HEARTS: Melody of Memory for Nintendo Switch

Got this after already having the PS4 version of the game and it is great being able to play this game on the go. Being a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series and the music that comes with it, this is the perfect way to experience the series from start to finish... if you have played the other games in the series. If this is your first game in the series, it will give you small snippets of story that should help, but might confuse some as experiencing the games is different from just listening the story being told.

As a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series since the original game debuted, and also as a long time fan of rhythm games like the Project Diva series, I was actually pretty dubious when this game was announced. After all, Kingdom Hearts' previous attempts at rhythm mini games - mainly the ice cream game from BBS and the infamous KH2 Atlantica - have played like trash and been the bane of KH completionists for years. I dragged my feet on playing this title, but finally purchased a copy when I noticed Amazon was selling the switch version for only $25. To my surprise, this is actually a competent and fun rhythm game! I've been breezing through the story mode and enjoying the heck out of it!I have to wonder why it's getting such poor reviews. I'm thinking it's simply BECAUSE it's a rhythm game, and most fans of this RPG franchise either just don't like the jump in genre, or they're simply not good at rhythm games, maybe? You do have to treat this like a rhythm game and time your button inputs to the beat - not just blindly swing the keyblade at enemies coming down the track. If you're someone who is bad at rhythm games, then yes, you WILL NOT LIKE THIS GAME, and would be better off just looking up the cutscene footage.Anyway, besides the fun mechanics of the gameplay, I love the added features of item synthesis and somewhat superfluous but still fun card collecting. Speaking of cards, say what you will about Melody of Memories gameplay departure by being a rhythm game, but this entry is still leagues above other 'side entries' like Re:Coded and Chain of Memories. I have loathed the card based game play of Chain of Memories since its debut on the GBA, but that's neither here nor there.In the end, I hope this game does well enough that we see other side games with different play styles. I would LOVE a canonical KH kart racer... or dating sim! Hahaha!

La raza califica mal este juego porque no leen ni se informan de que va. Claramente se anuncia como un juego de musica y ritmo, pero lo compran pensando que es un KH de siempre.El juego tiene musica de toda la saga, distintas dificultades y retos.Las boss battles son muy divertidas y desafiantesVisualmente queda a deber un poco, pero hablamos de un port de switch.

光の英語バージョン、シンプルアンドクリーンが聴きたくて北米版を買いました。英語バージョンで1から遊ぶのも凄く良い。

Bought it and i love it since it had all of the music from the kingdom hearts series and it was not that hard to finish which was nice. I recommend this if you love the series.
