Genuine battery is factory fresh and got me back up and running!
After all the spotty reviews I was a bit hesitant to order this battery from Amazon, but decided to anyway and hoped for the best. I was pleasantly surprised that what I received seemed to be pretty recently manufactured in that the measured voltage right out of the box was ~12.8V. I'm not really sure how to read the date code (if there is any on the battery), but if I am reading it correctly, it seems to suggest that it was manufactured around 09/2023 and my purchase date is 04/2024, so roughly half a year, which is not bad at all. For those who are curious like me, the actual brand of the battery is a "Ritar" brand, and made in Vietnam. From a quick google search it seems to be a well known and trusted brand. Install is straight forward and seems to have gotten my old CyberPower UPS back up and running.

easy replacement battery for Cyber Power backup
I ordered the alternate version of the replacement battery for my CP850 (it is typically recommended for the 1000) but notes said that it would fit our unit. It went right in and I had no problems. Charged on receipt and went right throughs elf test with no issues. Easy replacement. The only thing I made sure to do was pull the removal tab off the old battery so this one will be easy to pull out for replacement some day. It might be a bit of a chore to pull it from the unit without that tab.

Makes your UPS function like new
Bought this for an older model CP1000AVRLCD (I think 5 or 6 years old.. maybe more?). It had recently begun single tone beeping, and resets only temporarily restored functionality. I had noticed the stated battery runtime decrease over the years (normal; batteries are consumables). Found this battery and the cost is far less than a new AVR / UPS. Installation was super easy: unplug UPS from the mains, remove a couple screws to reveal the battery, battery slides out and there’s 2 spade connectors to remove. New battery slides in, connect cables to spade terminals, screw panel back on and done. Just need to charge battery per instructions before use. It’s now running strong again. Will update review if anything unexpected happens. For now, happy I went with an original Cyberpower battery as the cost difference for third party was not great enough to justify the “risk”.

You may not get 100% battery life
Photos i included: The battery that says CyberPower, that's the replacement battery i received from Amazon. The other battery is the original battery that was in my UPS. (The UPS was bought brand new) Thought i would mention this as it's odd that the original battery doesn't say CyberPower but the replacement battery does. The 3rd photo is the UPS with the battery cover removed. There's two cables that need to be unplugged to remove the battery. And reconnected to the new battery when installing the new battery. ____________________________ I own the CyberPower 1000PFCLCD, UPS. I think there's more than 1 version of this UPS model. I think this is the newer (last version) of it, because mine doesn't look like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00429N192 Mine has no USB, no tilting LCD screen. But the replacement battery works just fine. ____________________________ FIRST THING TO KNOW ABOUT THIS UPS: You know when the battery is dying because having a dying battery causes the UPS to randomly beep, display an error message on the LCD screen then randomly turn off and cut off power to your devices that are plugged in. And this specific UPS model was at the point that it would only stay on for 3-5 min before it cuts off. NOT GOOD because my PC was plugged into it. I'd turn the UPS back on, turn my PC back on. Few minutes later, the UPS would cut off power again. I contacted CyberPower and they told me to replace the battery. So i'm not 100% sure but i think this UPS can't be used without a battery. I think if you removed the battery it may not turn on at all or if it does turn on it'll randomly cause an error then shut off and turn all your devices off. So YOU NEED to replace the battery if you want to use the UPS. ____________________________ REPLACEMENT BATTERY: GOOD NEWS! This battery works! I replaced the battery with this new battery. I charged it 100% (according to the LCD screen on the UPS) So far the UPS is staying on, no errors (Both while plugged into the wall outlet and when unplugged). BUT i will NOTE, i am testing it without any devices plugged in. So far it seems fine though. ____________________________ NEW PROBLEM. Maybe, Maybe not: How long does this UPS run with no devices plugged in? I'm not sure. Is it 140 minutes? OR is it 200 minutes? I am testing the UPS with new battery replacement, charged to 100%, WITH NO DEVICES PLUGGED IN. With the UPS plugged in, the LCD screen said i had 200 minutes of battery life. I tested removing the UPS plug from the AC outlet to see how long the battery would last AND to test if it even works. Then i noticed the LCD screen started to countdown from 200 minutes. Every 1-3 seconds i would lose 1 minute of battery life. It was when it hit 140 Min left that the battery life % stabilized. And at 140 Min, it took longer than 1 minute before the battery went down to 139 Min, etc. Sooooo, if the battery is supposed to last 140 Min with no devices plugged in. I think the replacement battery works perfect (so far). If it's 200 Min with no devices plugged in, then there may be an issue with battery life. I think it may actually be 140min but then why would it tell me 200min? Not sure. Due to there being different versions of this UPS model, that makes it even more confusing to find the answer. But so far, after 140 Min, the battery seems very stable. ____________________________ WARNING, BE CAREFUL when changing the battery: First, in order to change the battery (for the model that i own), put the UPS on it's side. There's 1 screw on the bottom of the UPS. Unscrew it, slide over the plastic cover, remove the cover. NOW you have access to the battery. There's a pull tab attached to the battery to help you pull the battery out. BUT the battery is connected to two terminals, positive and negative (red and black)... (almost like a car battery), you will need to unplug it to remove the battery. So slide the battery out as far as you can, then detach the cables. The danger here is, the replacement battery has no plastic cover to protect one of the terminals. So both metal terminals are exposed. I'm not an electrical expert but i do know it's dangerous if you were to touch both the terminals with metal at the same time. I believe that's what you'd call a short circuit. That's VERY bad. What would happen if you short circuit the battery? Most likely some smoke, fire and a potential BOOM! So avoid that at all cost. The original battery has a plastic cover on the red terminal to help prevent that accident. The replacement battery does not include that. BUT DON'T FEAR, it's easy to replace the battery. BUT again, be careful, After i plugged in the red terminal to the new battery and then i tried to plug in the black connector next, a big spark flew. That was scary. Use plyers, grab onto the rubber piece of the connector and connect it that way. For safety. ALSO be careful when putting the replacement battery in. I almost pinched the red cable when sliding the new battery in with the cables connected. So go slow, make sure you clear the cables, so you don't pinch the cable. ____________________________ IN CONCLUSION: The $40 is worth the replacement battery considering this UPS would cost around $130 brand new. But i'm still not sure if the full battery life should be 140min or 200min (with nothing plugged in) If it's 140min then i 100% recommend this battery. It works perfect. (So far) If it's supposed to be 200min, you might be getting short changed. Either way, it's still a good purchase. It works, only cost $40 PLUS this is the only replacement option available.

Battery Works
I have a love-hate relationship with my Cyberpower UPS. A few weeks ago, we had a power outage and everything shut off. I ran a diagnostic on the UPS with the software installed on my PC. Everything looked good. It said the battery power to run for 30-40 minutes. When I ran a self-test, it was clear something was wrong: everything lost power immediately. I reached out to Cyberpower. They didn't seem to get my problem. I understood that the battery was dead. I was frustrated that their product and software said the battery was fine. My concern was that if the device couldn't tell the battery was dead, was there a greater problem with the UPS than the battery? Their final answer: When the UPS has a successful self-test it uses that information to determine run-time, but as long as it's on power, it has no idea what's happening with the battery. Huh.... Kinda defeats the purpose of monitoring software, no? So I bought a new battery. It took about 2 minutes to replace. Once it was done charging, I ran a self-test and it passed, so it's holding a charge. At least now I know that the device has no idea regarding the condition of its own battery. It just sucks that the only way to know for sure is that the UPS has to fail.

Works as expected!
Used this replacement model to replace the defective ones in my CP800AVR and CP1500PFCLCD. No issues. Both UPSes are back to working as epected.

Works well
My UPS died on me just a few months after the warranty expired, checked the error code which indicated likely just the batteries needed to be replaced. I bought 2 of these as it was cheaper that way than the RB1290x2 product here on Amazon (it's the same battery, just different quantities). Was easy to replace and now it's back to normal and saved me from having to buy a whole new UPS. Recycling wise with the old batteries, you may need to check with a few places. One national store near me sadly didn't recycle batteries at that specific location but were able to point me to an auto shop that would.

CP1000AVRLCD Replacement
I bought this battery for a Cyberpower CP1000AVRLCD unit. I had the same battery in it since 2015. It finally started to not charge and would get scary hot. So hopefully this battery will solve everything. So far, installation took literally 2 minutes and it seems to be charging nicely. Mine arrived at 4% charge instead of being full which was a little odd, but it seems to be charging fine. Sounds like I won't get 7 years out of this battery like the original one, but for the price hopefully this will last at least a few years.
