Cold Steel92R13RTZ Rubber Training Recon Tanto Knife

Great trainer feels great in my hand been training with some friends and it is my favorite really good knife and nice size too I have big hands and it is nice to have a trainer that fits comfortably in my hand

I bought this because I have a recon tanto, and if you have one too, then this should be your next purchaseso how is it as a trainer? it's fine. a little on the light side but that's not so bad as it makes it easier to practice for longer.It's also quite stiff so you have to be very mindful if practicing with a partner as it would quite easily hurt someone, its not sharp anywhere it just has very little give so it would transfer energy well to a target without padding.honestly consider a flexible rubber knife for doubles training. but when practicing solo on dummys, or the air this is the jam

Excellent training knife. It resembles really well the recon tanto made by cold steel. It is really solid and very apt for knife kata and disarming drills (careful with your eyes though)

The one I received is not soft rubber. It is hard plastic. I don't want to wear eye protection. That's why I tried to order soft rubber, not hard plastic. What the heck?!! Amazon must change the product description or people will throw money away and have to order a different training knife.

This was a gift for a friend. I thought the handle was nice-- not blocky and fat. This seems like a nice trainer for our martial arts class.
