It didn’t even work no color was there

I almost didn’t purchase this because of the poor reviews. However, I took a chance and boy, I’m glad I DID. I am an African American woman. Saw this used in a YouTube video and loved the ease of the person using it. I looked and debated 2 weeks after reading the reviews. I took a chance. Gorgeous. A lot of people suggest shaking first. The directions tell you to shake it as well. Squeeze a little at a time, never felt it would spill. Very easy to apply. Washes out very easily. I ordered the blond and I’ll order the red. Just because. It’s fun to have color, when I want an change it up. Hope this helps the undecided.

I have medium blonde hair and enjoy changing it up with semi-permanent hair color. I've tried a few fun colors with products like Punky Color and Overtone but they did nothing. This color is awesome (I've always loved Clairol's semi-permanent dyes)! I have medium length hair with a VERY full scalp (lots of very fine hair). One tube got me colored but if I wanted a more vibrant purple, I'd need one and a half or two for better saturation. As it is, the lighter parts of my hair toward the front are more violet while other parts that were darker and harder to saturate turned kind of an ashy purply brown that's still very pretty. I will definitely be using this again! My only complaint is that the tube is kind of stiff making it difficult to get that last bit of product out so be methodical when squeezing.

Wow! I will add photos to this review later, but this is exactly what I was looking for to extend the grow-out/root-showing time in between hair colouring appointments. I apply this purple colour just to my roots and a little past them to give it a "root fade" or "root bleed" look. I'm not sure that this would show up on really dark hair (at least not strikingly). My roots are dark brown and I can't see the purple there much, but it extends onto my dyed platinum blonde hair so the overall effect is of purple roots. Looks great. Maybe the lighter colours like the silver/platinum, or the rose gold might work better on darker hair. I'll try those next and update this review later. Some observations: +Any product that gets on your hands and face washes away suuuuper easily with soap and water; I use micellar water and a cotton pad on my face +You are supposed to blow dry the colour to 'set' it - I find that by tousling your hair with your free hand, you distribute the colour better and it doesn't leave it crusty/messy like some other reviewers have said. In fact, it looks just as good and 'natural' (for such an usual colour, of course) as when my hair stylist does it. +Shake it up well before applying +You can extend it one day by using a dry shampoo (NOT a 'wet' dry shampoo but actual powder) in between washes +The colour is slightly metallic but not sparkly or shimmery. Very cool! +There is zero bad smell - it doesn't smell like anything +The sponge applicator is great - you won't be able to colour small stripes but it works extremely well to apply colour to your roots. It's mess-free! +For a root bleed, I've gotten about seven applications out of one tube So, in sum, this is an excellent-priced, top-quality temporary hair product. It is specifically called "hair makeup" as it is not even semi-permanent and it washes out easily with shampoo. You cannot go wrong. It's fun for a special occasion or a night out, also. Am looking forward to trying even more colours!
