The ceramic construction looks like natural stone and blends nicely with the other decorations — it doesn’t stand out like cheap plastic decor. The surface feels smooth and safe, with no sharp edges to worry about my fish’s fins, which is exactly what you want in a tank ornament.  My Betta and a few guppies love it — they swim in and out, rest inside, and seem pretty comfortable using it as a hideout. It provides just enough shelter to give timid fish a sense of security without taking up too much room. The size works well in small to medium tanks; I’ve got it near some plants and it doesn’t crowd the space.  Cleaning is easy — just a quick rinse with tank water — and I like that the ceramic won’t affect water quality.
