Why didn't I buy this sooner??
I never leave reviews, but this item has made an immediate improvement in my quality of life. Like, why did I not do this sooner??? It installs super quickly and is contoured so it is incredibly comfortable. The arm rests are spaced far enough out that I don't feel squished at all. Roomy, comfortable, supportive, STABLE, promotes good posture and alignment. NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE! Honestly, this makes the experience of repeated bathroom trips from a long Crohn's disease flare (that is also attacking my spine, knees and hips) significantly easier to endure :) A small, inexpensive thing that makes a huge difference!

Best Raised Toilet Seat!
Excellent product! So easy to install, only took ten minutes to unpack from shipping box, read instructions, install! Perfect fit to my regular toilet. I was home from hospital the same day I had hip replaced. First thing, I needed to use the toilet.. So easy, I grabbed the side handles and slowly lowered onto the raised. It was no struggle and worked better than expected.. So happy with the product and with the low price!!!!

Great for knee surgery
Came boxed and easy to assemble. Great to use after my knee surgery. Comfortable and light weight to take on and off if needed. Stable to sit on. Doesn’t move around because of a twisting lock up front. You can clean it with Lysol wipes or clean it in the shower.

I love it! It just dont fit
I love the toilet riser, it arrived on schedule and it was easy to assemble however! It was tightened to capacity yet it still caused my 92 yr old mom to slip off! She’s FINE! THANK GOODNESS! 🙏what did I do wrong and why it does not fit snugged?

Very nice product and easy to use
Excellent product. At 98 my mom broke her forearm and found it very difficult sitting down and getting up. Found this on Amazon, ordered it; it arrived next day. Opened box, installed it in about 4 minutes including tightening one wing nut to hold it on the bowl. If it’s awkward for anyone else it can be easily removed and reinstalled. Easy to clean - just use toilet-scrubbing brush and squirt-on cleaner. No need to scrub too hard. Very budget-friendly. Would not hesitate to buy this for anyone who needed it. My mom is fine BTW. She’s 99 now 😎

Too high installed on a comfort height toilet - I'm 5'4" and it's Edith Ann height for me
This 3 star review just pertains to my specific situation, but here goes: I am a 5'4", 135 lb, female who just had a hip replacement. Our current toilets are all "comfort height" (~17"h) but it was recommended that I get a raised toilet seat with handle assists to help during my recovery. I bought this based on the ease of installation and the Drive reputation. We'd already had the need to purchase assist products for our parents in the past, and the Drive brand was always very reputable and of great quality. The quality of this is of true Drive standards. Strong, sturdy, well made and very easy to install. What didn't work though, is that adding 5 inches of height to our 17" high comfort height toilets means that my feet don't even touch the floor. This raised seat adds too much height which was even more painful for my new hip, than sitting on just the toilet without it. Truly, I felt like Edith Ann (if you're of a certain age, you know what I'm talking about) with my feet swinging off the floor. In addition, it's not clear in the photos, but the opening of this riser is quite a bit smaller than the full opening of the toilet without it. The seat part is very bulbous and that cuts down on the opening size by quite a bit. At the risk of TMI, a normal seat sort of cradles your behind, but because the seat area of this one is much larger, it feels like you're just sitting on a hard plastic seat. Ours is an elongated toilet and the opening that this riser has is even smaller than a round toilet opening. We also have a hand held bidet spray connected to our toilet and this smaller opening would not be conducive to using the spray either. The last thing to mention is that the look of this (even tho it's not meant to be a permanent seat) is very "institutional". It just looks like a seat that a care/rehab facility would have on their toilets. I will shop for another riser in the 3" inch height range. Hoping to find one that is just as easy to install with assist handles too. If your toilet is lower and not already of comfort height, then this may work for you. If you're in the 6' +/- height range, then this might also work for you. Unfortunately, it did not work for me. * * update: check this one out. This is the one I decided on. It's a 3" riser, looks and feels like a regular seat, and is just as easy to install. A bit more expensive, and without handrail assists, but completely worth the extra cost. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C65N2786?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

I recommend
Works very well. I had spine surgery and my toilet was too low. It’s very sturdy and secure.

Helpful after surgery!
Extremely helpful after hip replacement surgery! Only thing is that I could not secure it to my toilet and had to use it carefully. Not sure if that was due to user (me!) error or the shape of my toilet. But it worked well regardless and helped in my recovery.

Feels secure and safe
Bought this for after hip replacement surgery. It fits partially inside the toilet bowl and “locks” into place by turning a knob until a plastic piece is pressed against the inside of the bowl. It has 2 handles to use to help with lowering yourself and raising yourself to the seat. It doesn’t to slip and feels very secure and safe.

Extremely well made. Pricy but so much better than the cheaper flimsy models.
The handles are an added bonus enabling one to push oneself off the throne when there is nothing close by to grab. Suitable especially for a bulkier person.

Does not fit properly
Did not fit the toilet properly so was unsafe to use. I could not send back so went in the bin.
