Worked perfect for my project
Used this to step down 20v to 12v. I wanted to power a fish-finder for my kayak using my existing Dewalt lithium ion 20v batteries. 20v won't work for most fish-finders which are 12v specific, and this converter did the trick. Easy enough to wire up. I know these converters draw power from the battery even when there isn't a draw through the converter, but I didn't wire in a switch between the battery and converter as I won't connect the battery unless I'm ready to use.

Well made, good value, works- mostly.
I needed a regulated output to 'clean' up a noisy 12V line that was a PWM motor speed control and proximity limit switches. The PWM control would put a lot of noise on the 12V line at mid-speed that would false trigger the prox switches. I tried using this to power only the prox switches...the noise made it through the converter and didn't help. I had to use PNP vs NPN prox to fix. I also did not verify the DC volt range it claimed...I used 12V in, 12V out. Would buy again, just not as a filter.

Voltage dropped to 11-10v.
I purchased this as a step down from my 24V Lifepo4 to 12v. It worked for around 1 hour then my Fish Finder and USB charger showed the voltage dropped to 11-10.x V. I'm not sure if my units are taking too much power or draw so I ordered another one doubling the AMP and Watts. I will do an update once i find out if the new unit does the same.

Perfect for a unique setup
So I had a battery from Hoverboard that was recalled and I wanted to use it to operate LED lights I installed on my son's go kart. The lights were 12v so I needed to step down the voltage from the battery. This was easy to wire in and works great. No issues to report.
