Excellent product and for the price it is amazing value. I have several Viatom/Wellue products, as the products are well made. They make for other brands too and have theie own research department. Their support desk is helpful too. This blood pressure machine is easy. It is comfortable and fast. It isn't as noisy as most upper arm cuff machines. So when I get hypochondric at night and think I'm going to die I can do so without waking the cat. This is a much smaller device than I expected so I can now see why others say it is good for travel. The results are illuminated so you can see it in the dark unlike those with standard LCD displays. It records slightly higher than my wrist blood pressure monitor which is as expected - wrist monitors tend to read slightly lower, and are more dependent on where your wrist is relative to your heart. They should both be at the same level. With this Armfit machine that is always the case anyway. The ViHealth app is very good, once you've got used to the layout which is only fiddly when you first connect a new device: I use it for my pulse oximeter and ecg machine...I am a slight health worrier as I mentioned earlier. Hint: don't pair the Bluetooth, instead wait for the app to ask to turn Bluetooth in and connect. TWO very useful features on the app which I haven't seen on the popular brands: the pulse force...the difference between the top (systolic) and bottom (diastolic) readings. [Tip...how do remember which is which? Simple... DI-astolic is the lower figure...if you don't have any blood pressure you die]....but I digress. The pulse pressure is usually about 40mmHg and there is growing evidence that a large difference indicates a struggling heart. The second really really useful feature is the MAP: MEAN ARTERIAL PRESSURE. If you think of the heart as it contracts, the pressure gradually increases then fades as the heart relaxes. This is a nice uniform oscillating wave. The MAP is the average pressure of that beat. You see this on some pulse oximeters and when you take your pulse. If poor it is often called 'thready' if really strong it feels like a hammer' pulse. So this machine gives you the figure and a guide as to whether the pulse is thudding or smooth. We don't really want thudding because that means the pressure goes up very quickly but for a short time. If there is a weak spot in the blood vessel wall it could burst it... if it is in one of the delicate vessels in the brain it causes a stroke. Sometimes a nose bleed is an indicator of high blood pressure, particularly in mature people. What we want is a more gentle increase in pressure, like squeezing a pillow. That is less traumatic on the blood vessels. Usually the MAP figure is about 1/3rd of the way up from the bottom. So with a 120/80 reading the MAP reading of 95 - 105 would be ok. If close to the bottom figure then your blood is producing sudden bursts of pressure with tall thin peaks and that is not good. Now, the MAP is obviously a useful thing for clinicians in intensive care and for your GP. Interpreting what the figure means needs experience and depends on other checks. This machine happens to record it and now you have an idea what MAP means. But please don't go and tell your doctor what to do based on something you learnt from Amazon...I use it as a veterinary surgeon, but your doctor will just roll their eyes and groan! I decided to buy this based on the previous reviews. It gives an accurate reading and easy to use as well. I checked with hospital reading and this gives pretty much same each time. App sync well with the data. The reporting format can be improved. It can be a table format to summarise to GP. Simple summary. Handcuff also good in size and quality.

Im not sure if I get good readings, as there is quite a difference with my previous blood pressure monitor. Easy to use and connected to your phone, all your readings

Just arrived very impressed,up till now I’ve always used omron evolve which are good BP monitors but some problems with transferring readings to the health appa bit twitchy at times ,I have been using this today no problems exporting readings to health app,also you can charge this monitor with cable which is great no need for batteries ,very happy so far ,and if you need to export you’re readings ,very easy

well its very useful a bit clumsy at first getting it to stay put but only did two trials then after that it gave accurate readings for my health records I have to do 3 x a day
