Good product, isn't sharp
Good product, isn't sharp. This isn't meant to be a real weapon and it is perfect for such. I ordered this for a costume and painted over it with metallic paint. The paint chips away if contact is hard enough, but it will look as weathering rather than sloppy paintwork unless the chipping is severe. The design is sweet and simple, so I recommend this product.

Great training, prop dagger!
Wanted a HEMA Larp friendly training dagger, and this one fits the bill! Nice size and weight, and has a little bend and give in the blade so if you are a sparring less likely to injure your opponent. I plan on painting it to make it a little more realistic I can highly recommend weather for training or just a prop side arm for a party.

Worked great for Cymbeline
Used for summer outdoor Shakespeare. Easy to deco, good weight for faking fancy moves. Sturdy

Thinner blade, more style
Pictured on the right. This dagger trades durability & thickness/solidity for a more stylish look. Still sufficient for some training purposes, but I wouldn't use it to block a training sword. Its length is about average for a dagger, but it is lighter than its more sturdy counterpart (left).

Very good medieval training Dagger
Arrived form seller in new as advertised condition. This is a very nice training dagger! I have recently began studying in the Western martial art traditions after years of Eastern studies and I was looking to supplement my training equipment with some good medieval styles weapons. This dagger seemed to fit the bill so I ordered two. The blades while marginally flexible are thick and well proportioned. If you strike your training partner with these at full force or thrust at him you WILL injure your partner such is the thickness and quality of these trainers. So, some restraint and protective gear is at hand. If you are doing pell work then swing away as these will be able to take the punishment. All of the edges are rounded ( and, well, they are polymer) so they will not cut but , again, you can hurt and bruise you partner if you are careless. You do not get the sheer size of a 10 inch blade until you actually hold one in your hand ( much like holding a long sword after years of handling a katana), this is a quite large dagger and you could easily see the damage a trained medieval soldier/knight could inflict with something like this in his hand. They are not equivalent in weight to an actual dagger of this size but this is for training and after hundreds and hundreds of repetitions in the striking angles you will burn these patterns into your muscle memory and your strength and speed will increase for when you decide you want the real thing. All in all, I like the daggers and I look forward to training with them for many years in advance. Shipping from the seller was very fast and no delays over the holiday season either. Wishing you diligence, luck and most importantly enjoyment in your training.

High quality realistic medieval training dagger
I am very satisfied with the quality of this dagger! The material is strong, it feels great in the hand, it's a good weight, and it stands up to impact. the 'blade' doesn't flex as much as I was expecting, so full force sparing would be a bad idea without very good protection, but as a sidearm I think it does it's job very well. light sparring is fine with a good coat on. definitely recommend!

Perfect for a renaissance fair
great for prop, sanded the words off the blade and used PlaidFX Metallic flexible paint. then wrapped handle with leather cord.

Very nice for prop
This item was very nice and easy to work with. With some sanding on the blade to make it look more "real" it still seems a very piece to use in films. Recommend a good priming before painting.
