It's true that it hurts the sleek look of the Macbook, but it's better than having it stolen from some hotel. Some argue you could cut this easy with a bolt cutter, but that is also true for bike chains and you wouldn't leave that unlocked. For quick grab thieves, this will deter them, and it's easy to use.By the way, this seems to be a universal laptop lock, so it should also work on laptops with the side lock thing.
