It gets wedged before it sits on the bottom.It's 26" wide on one side and 25.5" on the other. You could always use a towel on it before you put dripping wet items on it. **Q: Why don't you post the dimensions???????????** A: It's approximately 26" x 26" square and the legs are about 4-5" high. I can hook the two back legs over my dryer's back control panel, and rest the front legs on the dryer's top surface. I find the residual warmth from the machine helps speed up drying without shrinking. I have two, which I stack, and would recommend them.
