Not one to rest on his laurels, Chris Duarte has constantly worked on his growth as a musician and the years of recording and touring have culminated purposefully in BLUE VELOCITY, a record which aptly showcases many sides of this brilliant artist in the context of high energy blues rock with moments that bring to mind legendary artists as diverse as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Johnson.

Turn It Up !
I've been a Duarte fan since the begining, and this is his best ever ! That is saying a lot because his "Texas Sugar Strat Magik" has been a favorite of mine for years.Every song on this album burns. You'll keep waiting for him to take his foot off the pedal, but he never stops. This is the best blues-rock album of the year. No one else comes close.Last year I saw Chris Duarte in a small, northern NJ club. By 2 AM, the crowd had thinned out to about 50, but he was still playing like his life depended on it. I'll always remember that. Buy the CD, then go see him live. You won't regret it !

Awesome
Chris Duarte is one of the best guitar players out there, period! And this CD showcases just how great he is, one mind blowing jam after another. Amy Lee is one of the best opening tracks that I have ever heard, by anybody, and it just keeps getting better, if that's possible. For anybody who loves to hear the guitar played at its highest level this CD is a must have. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Rocking Good Time
I love a good blues guitar player who can go in a few other directions with the same intensity. Duarte fills that bill. Regardless of your mood there is something on this CD to keep it company. From the funky blues of "Let her be" to the more rock oriented "Met My Match", Durate delivers! The solo work on "Something Wicked" is worth the price of the CD alone.

Everything is alright when I listen to this....
I wish so much I had purchased this CD a lot earlier so that I could have started enjoying it earlier. Don't make the same mistake and get it now. I can't get enough of Chris Duarte's powerful voice and incredible guitar skills. But, what do I know? Judge for yourself...;)

Chris Duarte an outstanding guitar player
Chris Duarte has proven that he is a blues guitar talent, however I am not impressed with this record of his. There are some great cuts here, but overall it does not live up to the talent of Chris Duarte. I have to admit that I have never heard anything from Chris Duarte as good or even close to his great record "Tailspin Headwhack". I have to say sorry Chris, but Tailspin is a hard act to follow.

Back on track with the whack attack
I had never seen Chris before I saw him open up for Satriani in Detroit back in the 90's. I was hooked after that show and bought everything he had available. The last release was not so good, but Chris has plugged back in his fuzz and uni-vibe, added some back-up vocals and every track on this new cd is great. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

guter Blues

Il y a du Stevie Ray Vaughan chez Chris Duarte assurément (R U 4 Real ?), mais il y aussi du ZZ Top (Never Gonna Change), du Johnny Winter (Do It Again), du Sonny Landreth (Leave Her Be). Autant dire que c'est du lourd. ça cogne même un peu beaucoup parfois (Out in the rain, Met My Match), mais dans l'ensemble ça décrasse bien les écoutilles.

Disappointing
There are 11 songs on CD . Skipped over most except 5 songs.
