MEGA Construx Masters of The Universe Building Toys Set, Battle Ram and Sky Sled with 188 Pieces, 2 Micro Action Figures, for Kids

This is a nice little set that builds a really well shaped replica of a classic Masters of the Universe vehicle. But it’s not without some concerns. While it seems strange for a He-Man toy, and for something this small, this is part of Mega’s ProBuilder line. Designed for older kids and adult collectors. It is a tricky build, not for the young’un’s. In part because there is almost no color variation. It’s made of various shaped and sloped small pieces all the same color. You will need good light for the instructions. The vehicle is sturdy and has some play features. It separates into two. With the front being a classic He-Man sky sled. There are parts to make it as a Good Guy sled with horse/dragon head or bad guys snake head on the front. The rear has a missile shooter. There is space for two figures. One on the front sled, the other on a rear step. The 2 figures are new in the Mego MotU lineup. Triklops, with spinning eye thingy. And Mekaneck. Mekaneck’s play feature is awkwardly simulated with two extension pieces that you can add between his head and torso. It looks weird, but no weirder than the original toy. Mekaneck has his cudgel and Triklops a rapier type sword. Overall a nice set and a good compliment to the ProBuilder Castle Greyskull from 1-2 years ago.

The kit build a small ver, but accurate, model of the iconic MOTU vehicle, the Battering Ram. Just like the original toy, the front is easy to disconnect to make the Sky-Sled. The kit comes with an Snake head to replace the gargoyle head (often used by Skeletor and his minions) and mini-figures Mechaneck and Tri-Clops. The build is easy and can be very nostalgic for those who grew up playing with the original toys. There were extra pieces and they fit together tightly. Very fun build that can handle being played with by young hands.

I would have took a picture for this review but I had to send it back because unfortunately the person that I bought this for got this from another friend for Christmas. And what awesome and fun. But we didn't need two of them.

Good quality and great price

Grew up with Masters of the Universe back in the 80s, so like the majority of this line, it hits the nostalgia square in the nose. Mekaneck is a great interpretation within the confines of Mega Construx universe, the neck extension is great for those who want to use it. Tri-Klops as well is fantastic interpretation. My Tri-Klops came with what I refer to as battle-damage, doesn't bother me, I think of it as the one fight Mekaneck won while in transit :D Both come with their 80s inspired weapons (mace/club for Mekaneck and Tri-Klops' sword) Now for the actual Battle Ram and Sky Sled... Overall great representation of this vehicle, but honestly wish it were larger. Like most of the vehicles in the MOTU Mega Construx verse, it fits one, maybe two figures well, more than that and you immediately realize it's too small. The Sky Sled could have been 20%-30% larger, and the back half "Battle Ram" could have been >50% larger, to better fit the figures. Yes I understand larger generally means more expensive, but I'd have gladly paid more for a larger version. Also not buying the "this is intended for kids" logic, because if it were actually intended for kids, they'd be more accessible, instead of relying on Amazon because Target(New York) only sells Halo Mega Construx. Small side note, for those intending this for children: the Battle Ram does have a functional launcher, which will fire missiles very quickly over small distances, just a heads up. Ultimately, distribution methods aside, I'm happy to have this small piece of nostalgia in my collection The smile my battle damaged Tri-Klops and Mekaneck puts on my face, is worth the set price in my mind.

Reminds me of my MOTU full size toy from when I was 5 but of course more tricky to assemble (maybe it was the missing piece that was hiding under the wheel). Great you though:)

This was on sale and I wanted to work on my MOTU display with more than one vehicle. They are a fun build and a nice reminder of my childhood.

This is a great set to put together, even better if you're a fan of the 80's Masters of the Universe cartoon and toy line. Great for young and old alike!

è da tempo che vedo questi set ispirati al mondo Motu, essendo legato al mondo lego li ho sempre snobbati. ho deciso di buttare un pò di soldi invogliato dalle offerte del black friday e mi sono felicemente ricreduto, adesso li voglio tutti! sono ben fatti, le costruzioni si incastrano bene e non mostrano difetti come altre cinesate. i modelli sono ben riprodotti e vicini agli originali. sono molto felice dell'acquisto

He tardado en montarlo sobre una hora a un ritmo muy tranquilo. Incluye: manual de instrucciones a todo color, 2 minifiguras (Tri-Klops y Mekaneck con sus armas) y el vehículo Battle Ram. Indicar que te viene también una "cabeza" opcional para el vehículo (la de tigre que he puesto en las fotos). Y Mekaneck tiene dos extensiones de cuello que puedes quitar si quieres. Las piezas vienen en bolsas individuales sin numerar pero, al ser pocas, la búsqueda de las mismas no es demasiado complicada. El resultado es muy bueno. Se puede separar la parte delantera (a modo de moto voladora). Al final os sobrarán dos piezas (te lo indica el manual), la cabeza opcional que no háyais elgido y un par de piezas que se suelen poner en los pies para que se mantengan de pie en cualquier posición.. Totalmente recomendado para los seguidores de los He-man de toda la vida y los que están iniciándose en el mundillo con los Origins.

These are very cute designs. Playable and requires patience to fix up. Fun galore!
