Your standard shop air hose is 3/8” ID but with 1/4 NPT fittings. NPT is a different measurement. Like an 1/8” NPT thread is about 5/16” of an inch in diameter, not 2/16”=1/8” like you would think. Sorry for the long answer but you need 1/4” NPT fittings. **Q: What oil to fill it with?** A: Jack oil, available at moat auto parts stores. **Q: How do you fill it with the right level or oil?** A: It comes with the correct amount of hydraulic fluid.
