Can they withstand weather and sun if hung outside?

We have them hanging on our wood fence in heat and direct sunlight. We did spray clear coat prior to hanging. However I caution that we have only had these pieces for two weeks but enjoy seeing them every day.

Are they suitable for outdoor use?

They would have to be securely fastened as wind could actually give flight to these birds. There are two rings on the back of each bird for hanging. They appear to be plated, maybe chrome or nickel, but I don't know how the finish will holdup when exposed to the elements.
