SALVO Flea and Tick Collar for Dogs - Pack of 2 for 12 Months of Protection - Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs (Small/Medium)

I ordered this for my parents and they have it on their gorgeous Mountain Bernese. They live in the country, so ticks are a huge issue. Since placing this collar on their dog, the ticks have lessened significantly.

Been using this kind for a few years on my 4 dogs. I never had a flea problem!

Not very effective on fleas.My dog has been infested with fleas after putting on the collar. I know that a flea has to bite him to be killed but they have and he still has fleas.

This is a terrible product! Picked up my sweet Yorkie-Poo, 3 years old, from the groomer. She was beautiful! Flea & tic free! Recent move from another state where we lived in a neighborhood and the only time she was outside was when walked in a leash for potty time and exercise. Trifexis worked beautifully! However, the move was to another state and to the country where she has more outside play-time. Trifexis no longer worked! Comfortis did not work! Topical didn't work well at all and bc of her light color, she looked dirty in the areas of application! So...groomer suggested Salvo! Loved the price and claimed length of time that it stated it would last! However, within an hour, we noticed her eyes partially closed all the time as if squinting! I thought maybe she was tired bc she is always tired after trip to groomer! No!! After two hours, eyes were squinted more! She whined continuously and was lethargic!! Took it off after two hours! Took her outside for some cool fresh air! Upon returning inside, she has not returned to her normal self as the fresh air typically makes her excited as she runs around the house, barking and playing chase with me! Her eyes are slightly more open but still lethargic! I feel that my baby is blessed after reading some other negative reviews of skin on the neck blistering and being burned, nerve damage, and other serious complications!!! Please take this product off the market!!! Please!!! Took her bandana & collar off as well bc the product is probably on those as well!

Our Pyrenees/Anatolian female who guards our livestock and farm wears this collar daily. She is a very sweet dog but no way can you flea & tick bathe her. We do use a Frontline Plus product on her but notice young ticks on her very thick coated hair at times Maybe fresh ones off our pasture grass but in any event this collar is a nice back up and very different from collars of old. Fits her great and she felt extra special getting it put on and made us feel good. She works hard here for all our animals and us and we give her the best of everything.*UPDATE* She has been wearing this collar for weeks and without a doubt there has been far less tick activity than without using this collar. It does work!

I bought this brand of collar last year and it was pretty good at keeping the fleas away. I got a new puppy this year and I made her little neck have sores on it. I will have to find something else a little more mild for her I guess. But it seems to work on my other dog just fine.

Nice mild scent, floral! The collar is clear, no color. Seems to be working well so far.****UPDATE**** 2/20/18 Both dogs suffered burns/irritation on their necks. Discovered scab areas under the collars on the back of their necks. Made the skin leathery. Didn't seem to bother them thankfully. Removed the collars and they healed. Loss of hair also. So disappointed.

Back in May I purchased this collar for my two dogs which were both having problems with ticks. After placing the collars on both dogs, the ticks disappeared within several days and there hasn't been any issues since. In addition there were no rashes or other health concerns with either dog. The only problem that I had was with the fit. They seem to be a bit small for very large dogs. I also had a problem with the collars coming loose and falling off. I had to secure them with a very small zip tie. Because of the price and effectiveness I will definitely continue to purchase this brand of collar.
