The die that comes with the one piece set only goes down to 12/10 but it does have height adjustments and it's a very heavy duty crimper. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get it to do 8 awg. I love this tool actually. It does an excellent job. Maybe they sell the dies separately somewhere if you needed one?
