Collins Quiz Master: 10,000 General Knowledge Questions

There are a lot of great questions in this book, organized into general and special knowledge categories. My only complaint, as an American, is that roughly 10-20% of the questions are impossible for anyone who didn't grow up in the UK. Lots of "Which county is the town <NAME> found in?" and "Who starred in <80's British Drama Show That Never Aired in the US>?" type questions. It's okay, because there are still SO MANY QUESTIONS that the book is still a very good value. I just wanted to make fellow non-British trivia fans aware.

Bra bok med många frågor, men tänk på att de i många fall är anpassade för en brittisk läsare. Som svensk är väldigt mycket svårt att besvara då det handlar om lokala namn och företeelser.

500 quizzes, with 20 questions each (answers on the next page but one).We spent several hours quizzing with my wife, sister, brother-in-law & mother on Christmas day & we ended up doing 24 quizzes.We hadn't planned to do many, but thoroughly enjoyed the quizzes, which were a good mix for middle-aged & elderly adults, so we just kept going, drinking, eating, talking & quizzing.Only a shame it wasn't spiral bound since it would have made it easier for the 'quizmaster' to skip back & forth between the questions & answers in order to eat, drink & quiz simultaneously.

General knowledge is a massive subject. No book can give you all knowledge on every subject, but this book will give you a little boost in pub quizzes if that's your thing. Just be sure your team mates know other subjects not covered 😉 hmm
