The STANLEY STHT36127-812 5-Meter Plastic Measuring Tape is of standard quality and works well for home and DIY use. It feels sturdy and is easy to handle. I’ve used it for about six months without any issues. Accuracy seems fine though not verified. Overall, a good item worth recommending.

Med quality. Nice action at first, though wears out over 6 months to a year with moderate use. I keep getting them because they decent value.

I had an earlier version of this measuring tape until my mother used it and decided she wanted it. Of course, I had to replace the one I'd given away, but made the mistake of ordering the one without the fractions - and I didn't know center scale existed on measuring tapes, what a great surprise!. So, after receiving the basic one - just inches, nothing else - and being extremely disappointed that Stanley had taken away the fractions, I came back to Amazon to see if I could find the earlier version. Not only did I find that there is, in fact, a version with fractions, but it also has center scale (so perfect for my line of work). Also, although both measuring tapes were add-ons, this more useful version is almost a dollar cheaper than the basic version - both are 25' long (really, who'd want the basic version when they can have this one??). One thing about the product description that is not true about the product is that the label is write-on. The label is completely black and says Stanley 25', with no space for writing. It does not look like the one pictured here (does not bother me). One thing that the older model has better than this one: the belt clip is black (maintaining the color scheme of the tape) and it's a lot wider and sturdier.

You have to have at least 3 different trades mastered before you're allowed to use this tape measure. Some places require you to be forklift certified before you can even order it. If you're a button pusher you will not master this incredible tape measure so don't even try but go ahead and buy it and see if I wasn't right. Your welcome.
