And what size wire come out per switch?** A: I used 10 gauge wire from the battery to the two main feeds to power each bank of three circuits. I separated and changed the 20 gauge ground wire to 16 gauge wires. For more details, read my review of this item. It works great and there have been no issues. It is best suited for LED lights as it was intended. **Q: How many amps does the box itself draw without anything connected to the switches?** A: Zero amp draw if nothing is connected. It’s basically a dead box. It would need a completed circuit to have any measurable amount of amperage. Unless you’re asking how many amps the indicator lights are drawing when nothing hooked to them? Again nothing, zero. If a switch was turned on lighting the indicator light and not powering anything, I would guess it is in the milliamp range.
