Perfect for stringing on house gutter clips but add power injection for long strings
Bought the 10 pack in 2022 and just bought another 10 pack for 2023. Perfect spacing for stringing along the house gutters and I used the old incandescent clips to hold the LEDs in place.I rated "Brightness" at 4 but there is a tradeoff between power and brightness. As it is you can only chain two strings before the LEDs on the end of the 2nd string start to dim (at full power - all white). Get yourself a spool of Amazon Basics 100ft 16-Gauge Audio Stereo Speaker Wire Cable ( B006LW0W5Y ) and cut it into 16 foot segments to run in parallel with the LED string. This provides power injection for each segment. I have a 9 string chain (140 feet) that measures 4.5V (all white load) on the far end. The Amazon Basics is copper clad aluminum (lighter) but it solders perfectly (I don't trust crimps in weather) and I put "bullet" connectors on the Y at the far end of each LED string to tie into the chain of Basics cables. Makes it easy to add the next string on to the chain.

Good pixels, do what they're supposed to, have held up to weather for a year so far
I bought a 10-pack (500 5v pixels) last year to put up permanent holiday lighting along the roof-line. Running off of DigOcta power and brainboard in WLED. Been up for roughly 10.5 months at this point. Hung just over 450 of them in J-channel from Menards.Strands that I received were marked with data directionality, and pixel order (they were GRB rather than RGB, this is important to know for setting up controller)Weather has not been a problem.Pixels are responsive to input. They're bright enough for holiday lighting, I run them at roughly 60% brightness and am quite happy with that. Output colors are true to the display in wled.

Sign
Used these lights with arduino to make a scale version of stage sign from KISS. Ended up using around 475 lights in the sign and they all worked without issue. Had to cut sections of light for project and was easy to do with amount of wire between lights. LEDs are bright but I will say when you are close to the sign it was not a true white, but was not a big deal for meHave already ordered more of these for another project

Terrific lights... Some bad strands
I've purchased 20+ of these strands and overall they are spectacular. That said, I have had issues with two strands. On both, the connections were weak/broken at one of the LEDs, causing all sorts of mayhem from that point onwards. Fixing this sort of issue is not complicated provided you regularly tinker with this sort of stuff... Really shouldn't have to do it in the first place though.

Just add WLED on an ESP
A great lot at a great price. There is certainly a wonderful foreign oder that comes with these, but that is the worst part. Using some Panduit and cable mounts I was able to keep the install simple, and generally clean.I paired with an ESP8266, Logic Converter, Buck Converter, and a 12 Volt power supply for the hardware, this has made for a fun addition to the house. These LED’s are quite bright, and seem to have quite the range of color. I’m quite pleased with this product.
