Crown Books for Young Readers Max and the Midknights: Battle of the Bodkins

he likes it very much!

My 7 year old son was pumped to get and read this book. It is silly enough and the right balance of a challenge to read while going along with pictures to keep things interesting. In addition, several of the silly jokes are not as "bad examples" as the one in the wimpy kids series that he also enjoys.

My 8 year-old son loves Max and the Midknights, and I enjoy reading the books too!!This second book in the series does not disappoint, the author manages to keep up the original vibe, and the ending already hints at exciting revelations in the 3rd part.

My son has read both Max and the Midinght Books. The first one at 5 years of age and the second at 6. He has not only read them, but reread them multiple times. He loves to read books of all kinds, but this definitely topped off the list. I could hear him giggle out of the other room and my husband decided to read them for himself. He loved it too!
