Works, no paint damage.
I was very disappointed when I received this. It seemed very small. I was definitely under the impression that it would wear out fast. I finally tried it out this week. It took the 1 inch pinstripe off of my 96 Ford with ease. Did no apparent damage to the paint underneath. The eraser itself shows very little signs of wear. It did not seem as effective on double sided tape. I will still have to get that with the heat gun I think. But for removing pen stripping this thing is amazing. Definitely glad I bought it.

Works like a charm.
Used it to remove many old IFTA stickers. Worked great. Fits in standard drill chuck. Holds up well and doesn’t burn through material on the wheel. Easy to use. Doesn’t burn paint. Need to buff residue after removal with micro fiber.

Da bomb for removing bicycle decals without damaging the paint
Da bomb. Just what I needed. I used it to remove bicycle decals.I wish I would have known about this 3M Eraser Wheel before I tried other decal removal methods that worked for others; but didn't work so well for me. The edge of the 3M Eraser Wheel wasn't smooth downed when it arrived; but still worked. Once it smoothed down from use, it worked even better. I used a multi-purpose lubricant (what I usually use for rusty and stuck parts) to wipe off the glue from the decal and dust left after using the 3M Eraser Wheel. Paint job underneath looks like new. I am happily shocked it didn't damage the paint.

Awesome for Pinstripes and Tape, No Paint Damage!
This 3M Stripe Off Wheel worked amazingly well for removing old pinstripes and stubborn double-sided tape. It made the job quick and easy, and best of all, no damage to the paint at all. The wheel is super effective but gentle, and the threaded mandrel made it easy to attach to my drill. If you're dealing with decals, vinyl, or adhesive residue, this tool is a must-have. Definitely a great addition to any garage or detailing kit!

Great product that's worth every penny if you don't want to harm your car's paint.
So I was very concerned about exactly how I was going to remove the vinyl pinstrips from a vehicle I recently purchased because the paint job on it is absolutely pristine with a finish like a mirror. I researched a ton of different methods and chose to use a heat gun and a plastic credit card like piece of smooth plastic to delicately try and remove the pin-striping. Doing 3 inches took a very long time, so I finally resorted to purchasing this 3M eraser wheel, and good thing I did. It took off the pinstripes very quickly and I was finished in 20 minutes, and there's not a mark on the paint, you can't even tell there ever were pinstripes there to begin with.As many have stated here already, the wheel gets hot even at very low rpm's, so do not hold it on one spot for long, keep it moving, then take a break after a couple of minutes and wipe down the area you just did with a paint friendly cleaning product to remove any little bit of residue, and before you know you'll have completed the whole vehicle. Also make sure to remove all dust & dirt from the area you're about to remove the pinstripes from so as not to grind it into the paint. You also only use very light pressure on this wheel to, it hardly needs any pressure whatsoever, and very low rpms.Highly recommend and worth every penny.

Works very well
Not sure why I waited so long to get this. 3M has always been one of my favorite brands so I did not consider a knock off.I find wheel weight adhesive very difficult to remove. This did the trick. Like any “label” the hard part is getting the top layer removed. This handled that job easily. Then acetone did the rest of the work, although a soak in goof off or goo gone would have also worked.

Does work, but slowly, especially on older graphics
I tried this on faded graphics on a 12 year old RV. It does work, but will take forever on large graphics. You also have to be careful not to stay in one spot too long or operate on high speed, or it will discolor gelcoat.
