The screen itself is excellent - good picture quality, the screen doesn't have any serious wrinkles, and the pull-down mechanism works well. I particularly appreciate the self-retracting feature - the screen slowly retracts itself rather than quickly zipping upwards.I took off one star because the wall-mounting bracket on one side was broken and the screen endcap on the other was cracked. Neither of these was a big deal to me since I was ceiling mounting the screen, but it would have been annoying had I been planning to wall-mount. I suspect that was just cause I purchased a used/like new screen (sold directly from Amazon); I imagine it had been returned before and the frequent shipping and maybe a previous unpacking/repacking had just been too much for it.

I bought this screen to go with my Optoma H31 projector. I chose this screen because of the price and the fact that it is white. I really like having a white casing on the screen. I have it hanging from the ceiling over some windows and it blends into the room perfectly.As another reviewer said, it is a little difficult to retract the screen at first. You have to sort of guide it all the way up. Apply a little bit of upward pressure and it will work fine. My girlfriend has trouble retracting it the last few inches because she cannot reach high enough to push it up.Anyway, I mounted it fairly quickly (have to buy bolts and chains at hardware store) and the picture looks great. Sometimes I can see the texture of the screen a little bit, but I think I may have my couch too close to the screen. All in all the picture looks great, the screen looks great, and I like the fact that it blends into the white walls when it's retracted.

This is an extremely affordable screen, 1:1 aspect ratio, 70x70 inches viewable area. It does not have a reflective coating that increases brightness by narrowing the viewing angle. That feature costs more anyway, and this is an entry-level screen. Construction is cheap but good quality. However I returned two of them over the course of a month before I got one that survived shipping. These are really not packaged to survive UPS. Between bending in the middle and smashed ends(ruining the windup mechanism), you'll need to be persistent and patient. The third one worked and had only minor dents so I kept it. Think positively.

This is a very nice screen. Makes colors really vivid with excellent contrast and sharpness. Easy to pull up and down, although l leave it down most of the time. Hanging it was a breeze. It's so light you don't even need to find studs. Just use decorative hooks with large wing anchors in ceiling. It won't fall down unless you try and swing on it. It is built well and provides nice flat surface if hung level. No ripples, etc. Very happy with purchase.
