Package includes: 1x Collapsible One-Door Animal Cage 1x Sensitive external trigger rod 1x User Manual Review: It Works Perfectly - This item arrived in only 2 days. I unboxed it and studied the directions (I use that term loosely) to try to see how the mechanism functions... it folds like a dog crate would- to form the box... the trap mechanism takes a minute to understand, but it's basically - Look at the picture of the trap in the directions and configure it to match the illustration. Pull here & there until it all lines up and matches. Mind the clips on top & sides. See that you slide the sides under the tab thingies as this secures the frame to be very strong & secure so it won't collapse on you....... Took me about 5 minutes to figure it all out..... I used a can of tuna at the farthest end and a handful of cat food, plus a bit of the pancakes from breakfast, for bait. . . .The first night I didn't catch any thing. The second night I moved the trap from the outdoors, to a shed where the possum liked to go, just a few feet away. . I left the shed door open for it - I think the possum notices when the door is open and that drew him right in. I began wondering if one of my cats might be in the trap - so I ventured out in the rain with my flashlight and to my surprise, there was the big fat possum in the trap. . . Next morning i drove him to a nice remote area in the wild - about 7 miles away from home. He wasn't trying to bite me at all, he pretended he was dead and flopped around so I tipped him out of the cage and off he trotted, into a corn field.... I would recommend this trap. It performed very well. The steel is painted. It was plenty large enough for a very large possum. Review: Animals get out of traps - I got 4 of these because they are collapsible and I work in feral cat rescue. 3 of the 4 have caught cats on multiple occasions, but the cats get right back out. I'm incredibly disappointed.

By placing a larger size bait into the trap and not using something like PB or cat food
I caught the raccoon which was getting into my trash within 3days of setting out this trap. The only issue I has was the size of the openings allowed for the pesky critter to access the bait from the outside of the trap the first 2 nights it was out. By placing a larger size bait into the trap and not using something like PB or cat food, it caused him to have to enter the trap setting it of. Very sturdy !!!

Love This Trap!
Just received this trap 2 days ago. I have already caught a huge grey squirrel that was eating every flower in our backyard. The trap has a large enough opening that it is more inviting for the critter to nose around and enter (in comparison to those electronic zapper traps that claim they are big enough for a squirrel but they really aren't. I tried that for a long time with zero success). The assembly was easy but the instructions & pictures that come with this trap are pretty lousy, so you've got to kind of figure it out on you own. It says for example to put the bait under the trigger plate but no way to you want to block that plate from moving. Bait should be put behind (beyond) the trigger plate so he has to step on it to get to the bait. Once the squirrel is trapped, the cage is built solidly enough that they cannot get out. Believe me my squirrel checked out every square inch in an attempt to escape. Overall I love this trap and the success I have had with it so quickly. It also feels better than you don't have to kill it to get rid of it. Remember to take the squirrel at least 10 miles away, or they have been known to return.

Ok...
I had a problem with the initial set up. I then noticed that parts of the cage were not in line with each other. Although it was strong and sturdy, it was poorly put together. I was able to use to product successfully, I do think it was overpriced.

Best trap I ever used.
Excellent item. Well made and works great. We were getting a lot of damage to our Lanai and also to the roof of our home. In the last 6 weeks have relocated 12 large squirrelsโ and no more damage. I used roasted shelled sunflower seeds as bait. On a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being best it is definitely a 10.

Two rabbits then it fell apart...
Right from the start...felt cheap, thin metal, ect. Took me about one hour to set up. Not the actual device but to get the latch sensitive enough. I did get two rabbits that are now spayed and living with good families. At about the 1 1/2 month mark, the trigger latch broke and really I can not use it anymore. Should be like $20 and not $40. If you want this for long-term, possibly find another product.
