Tempest is cool, but...
The D-Dart Tempest very looks cool. It is big enough that I can use it comfortably, even with my size XL hands. It has a few problems, though. First of all, they shipped it preloaded with darts, except for the dart that would be "under the hammer". That dart was taped to the outside of the blaster. Seriously? Any experienced dart shooter knows that you do not store your darts in the weapon. Why don't these guys? They can't put a separate blister pack of darts in the box? Next, there is no barrel to help guide the dart, so accuracy suffers. With full auto, I guess you will hit what you are aiming at eventually. Minus one star for packaging. Minus one star for accuracy. Haven't fired the blaster enough to see how long the AAA batteries will last, so time will tell. Also, where can you buy extra D-Darts? I haven't found them yet. What real company doesn't sell extra darts for their blasters? Update. The darts that come with the Tempest aren't safe to shoot at anything but targets. I have found a dart that will fire like the original darts, but are safer for dart wars due to their soft tip. Amazon sells these: X-Shot Excel Universally Compatible Foam Darts Refill Pack (100 Darts) by ZURU.

Waste of money!
My son has been wanting this for so long. I bought it for him in October and Christmas morning he was so excited to get it. Unfortunately it was a huge let down that it doesn’t even work! And since it’s past the return window there is nothing we can do. So very disappointed!

Fun toy, better than NERF's guns (my opinion)
It's a fun toy, doesn't hurt that bad but do be careful not to hit the eyes.I gave it only a 4 star because it's pretty difficult to reload the dart in the chamber (also, it requires 4 AAA batteries which does not come included. Had to go to the store to buy some).

Fun shooter
Bought this for my son. Takes 4, AAA batteries. Son loves the rapid fire of the darts, by far one of his favorite guns. Only suggestion is better loading of the darts from the front as you have to bend them a little to get them in. would be nice to load them from the rear and not have to bend them to get them in.

Great for a 5-year-old
It's better if you buy two, one for each hand.
