Great sound at an affordable price
I had purchased this item in the past and loved it. When I saw the pink one, I thought "why not get one for my wife?"She loves it (because it's pink) and is very impressed with the sound quality. We have an older, smaller Bose wave radio thingamajig and this speaker is close in sound quality.

Great battery life; awesome sound
This Bluetooth speaker has some nice features:The triangle shape and geometric appearing front plate are different and attractive enough. A rechargeable battery life of 12 hours is great. There is a microphone for use as speakerphone with your cell or smartphone. While I have had some trouble pairing this with my relatively new Dell Windows 7 laptop, I suspect it is a Dell problem, not the speaker's problem. There was no problem pairing it with an older Asus Vista laptop. I also had no trouble connecting to an ancient LG flipphone. When connected the speaker retains an even and uninterrupted connection to my laptop in the next room about 20 feet away.Turning on the speaker requires holding the button for 3 seconds, which can seem like an unnecessarily long time. Turning off requires pressing the same button for an even longer time. Also a bit on the irritating side is the loud beep when pressing the volume toggle buttons. No beep or a softer one would be better. Furthermore, you cannot press the toggle button quickly. You must pause briefly between each push of the button. While I would not characterize the sound of this speaker as stunning, the Airwave speaker does sound pretty good for what it is, and it turns up loud enough to fill a room. Overall, this is a nice portable Bluetooth speaker with some useful features.

Nice sound
I agree with people who say it's not that good on bass, but I got this as a gift for my mom who will use at home and when hiking. She doesn't know how to set up Bluetooth so the NFC works really good, really easy to connect.

Creative Labs Never Ceases to AMAZE!!!
As a LOYAL Creative Labs customer for well-over ten years now, I knew EXACTLY where to turn for new speakers for the new phones my son and I had just gotten. We upgraded our phones, and discovered both had Bluetooth with NFC (Near Field Communication) Technology. This is AWESOME!!! No more troublesome audio cables!!!!When we wish to listen to music, we simply turn on the speakers, then tap our phones to a small symbol on the back of the speaker to activate NFC. It's THAT SIMPLE!!! And the audio quality is AWESOME!!! It's so much clearer than one would expect of ANY travel speaker!Doubt Creative's quality and longevity?I've been using Creative sound systems for over a decade, and they get better with each upgrade! I still have a Creative Travel Dock speaker (small, white folding double speaker with audio plug in the middle and 3.5 jack in the back) that still works PERFECTLY!I have three old Creative Mp3 players (2 Vision M's and a Jukebox - a REALLY old player, like one of the very FIRST Creative Mp3 players) that all still work perfectly!I bought a large Creative Labs speaker system about 8-10 years ago, while living in my previous house. To this day, it STILL pounds out that bass like it's brand new!!! Since I use a laptop and smaller speakers or headphones now, or use my laptop on the go a lot, a large system doesn't work for me much now. So, I gave the large system to my 16-yr-old son. At first, he thought it was going to be "lame", but now he says he's NEVER giving the system back!!! LOLThese speakers surpassed any and all previous expectations I had of Creative's quality. THIS is why I will continue being a loyal customer of Creative Labs.
