In this book, the fifth book in the Georgia Nicolson series, not many things happen.There is more rambling, more nonsense, and quite a few hilarious moments.Two boys are pursued-Dave the Laugh, who Georgia is falling in love with even if she doesn't want to admit it.Masimo, the new lead singer for The Stiff Dylans. He is also Robbie's replacement. He is Italian. Georgia is also falling for him.And besides that...nothing.Georgia and her friends do the crazy things they always do, Angus is insane as always.Oh, and there may just be a new addition to the household of the Nicolson's.It may or may not be a cat.The funniest of all the books so far.No, I did not laugh out loud on more than three occasions. When my daughter was a teen, we loved reading these books together! Now she's in her 20s and I still enjoy reading one every once in a while. I can't wait until my nieces are old enough to share in the hilarity!

'Away Laughing on a Fast Camel' is even better than the previous books in the series. Louise Rennison continues to write hillariously funny books detailing the adventures of Georgia Nicolson. Although some of the jokes become repetitive (after hearing them in previous books), there are plenty of new laughs and scenarios to hold your interest. A must read!

My teenager liked this book. One of a series. Funny British narrator. Bawdy and contemporary.

Georgia Nicolson is so funny and just doesn't realize she is in love with Dave the laugh. This book is just as good as the first four.

I ordered these for my niece then read them first. What a great series. Totally entertained me, and I didn't have to think my way through the story.

This series is hilarious and cute and fun read.

bought this for a teenager who loves Louise Rennison's books, but felt ripped off - its the book '... and that's when it fell off in my hand'(which she had already read) with a different cover and a different title.still I can give it to someone as a present, but BEWARE if you have read '... and that's when it fell off in my hand'and enjoyed it, well there's no point in buying this one.
